Calm down, Fields will be fine, they will draft or sign a top or trade for an actual WR1 next year, and he will take off just like the other QBs. Rebuilding takes time it doesn't just happen like a snap unless you walk onto a playoff team. Fields is winning despite being on a god awful team who's best player is an OK middle line backer, the guy is not jesus he can't perform miracles. They need a couple of better lineman and a WR1 and Fields will live up to his potential. Of course by then you and all the other immediate gratification mouth breathers will probably have "moved on" from him by then.

You lost me at “ you’re so wise” and “brush up before hitting the boards”…………

I’ll take the higher road and leave it like this……

If you don’t think JF has taken major steps backwards from last season, I don’t know what to tell you.

You obviously didn’t comprehend anything I wrote then made it personal with comments beyond the discussion.
A solid run game and D is why they’re 2-1
otherwise it’s 0-3 with JF performance solely.

Usually the run game opens up the passing game and currently he can’t even hit his RB’s out of the backfield and his lack of accuracy and pocket awareness is a major concern.
Just keeping it REAL
We can revisit this in 2 years and see where we’re at
At this point, I would say that your take on this is definitely in the minority of most viewers
Have a nice week

We will see if the lights go off or if he stays at the current level. The only way to tell is game time and experience. I will pick up a few pieces if prices drop. I picked up a mosaic peacock PSA 10 for $500 yesterday, so people are very scared off. A good time as any to find some good pieces.
What in the world watching Fields right now makes you think "Yeah, this guy is going to be a stud and his prices will explode"?

I would rather buy a Mahomes PSA 10 Panini rookie than $500 on 1 Justin Fields card

Its week 3 in a brand new offense that Russell Wilson (Hackett and Getsy were both in Green Bay last year) is also struggling with. He is not playing well and people are overreacting. That seems like an opportunity to buy. Hey it might not play out but I rather have fun buying a SSP card of the QB on my favorite team than a mass produced Patrick Mahomes card. Its a hobby at the end of the day.

that panini rookie will keep going down and fields will keep going up, but to each his own.

I watch the Coaches angle as well. Fields is not equipped for the pro game under any system. He can't even scramble correctly/protect the ball. This tells me that he has coasted on his talent up to where it wasn't good enough. Many such cases.

If you're a believer, now is a great time to buy.

If you're not, then sell while you can.

I thought Fields would show more progress by now. But it's still early. I'm giving him this year to show he's the guy.

I hate to be that guy, especially in this thread, but he did lose a fumble :/. At least he didn't cause a passing turnover!

It stinks to have had that nice touchdown run wiped out because of the block in the back penalty. He had some real nice passes, especially the Mooney one-handed grab.

I'm not looking forward to the TNF this week.

Much better play this week. Can't wait for Thursday to see what he can do with more passing attempts. Its hard to get in rhythm with such limited passing attempts. 275 - 300 total yards on Thursday!

Fields has that ability to turn nothing into 50 yards that maybe 2-4 other players in the league have with both his arm and legs. It's incredible.

But the key is going to be his ability to read Ds and pass accurately from the pocket. He's only going to be able to run around like this for a few years and then he'll either take too many body/head shots or he'll lose a step and that'll be that.

That's not the preferred narrative. Though there was this amusing comment.

Fields is now in the top 25 for rushing yards this season. Obviously that's #1 for QBs.

He is inching his way into the top 25 for passing as well. Not that its great, but he was #30 after 4 weeks.

They need to start getting more than 150 yards through the air off him each week. If they can creep into 200-250, with their rushing attack, they might actually have a team.

He needs to start checking down to Kmet, and not just his closest RB. Kmet is being wasted on this team.

You referring to yards? If so, keep in mind everyone below him has played in one or more fewer games.

I think he's looked fantastic this season - he's made progressions every game. Sunday will be a real test against a stout defense. I like that they are finally designing runs for him and his legs are truly the solution to their red zone woes and it looks like they finally figured that out.
