Question to the Ohtani collectors/investors/sellers...which of your Ohtani RC cards holdings have gone up the most percentage wise this season (base, SP, SSP, numbered, autos)? I am a low to medium end collector and have a ton of base cards with some SP's, numbered cards, and a few SSP's and no autos. I look at 130point daily and it appears to me base (especially PSA10) has been rising faster than many of my SP cards and numbered cards seem to be doing better than my SP's. Thoughts?

i have no idea. i just buy the cards i like at the price i want to pay

Gets really tiring checking prices everyday. I have to do that for stocks and my other index accounts. Pass here

Has anybody seen any live autos from 2023 Tribute? I’ve seen a couple redemptions but seems odd that I still have not run across a live one.

He doesn’t have many autographs in Tribute but the set that are all 1/1’s are indeed redemptions.

I think once a player becomes popular enough to bring the general public into play, lower price cards have more demand. It easier for new collectors/flippers to allocate a small portion of collecting funds with a sub $50 base card RC then it is to get them to buy an auto or SSP.

Stick a PSA 10 label on it and demand goes through the roof.

Anyone else grapple with the valuation of the 2018 Topps Chrome Red /25 error? These were packed with a /25 serial stamp which is reserved for orange but are clearly red. There are also orange /25, some with the same serial # as their red counterpart. Topps acknowledged the mistake but it is still unclear how many "error" reds made it out.

So is this card equal to an orange? Slightly more, slightly less? But it's red!! There's so many unknown variables that it makes my head explode.

Well that’s disappointing that they plaster him on the box and there might not even be a live auto of his in the product.

Unfortunately I still need both the US1 SSPs...

If I had the choice between orange /25 and red /25, taking red 100% or the time. It’s one of the most beautiful cards in existence

Sold a gold label class 2 for $75 - Starting to think we've hit the top on unnumbered RC cards. It is a cool card because it has him pitching and hitting, but it is still Gold Label. And the supply just seems endless on his unnumbered stuff.

Would think the red is more than orange but yeah the numbering doesn’t help. If you look at the pop reports, PSA has 2 graded red (probably actually /5) and 5 graded orange. Beckett has 7 graded red (with some known /25) and 17 graded orange. Assuming no crossovers yet and all cards pulled, which may not be the case, there are probably around 4 reds numbered at /25 (have seen two for sale at /25). So maybe the red is around /9 instead of /5 even though some are numbered /25. So you think the red /25 is worth more than the red wave /5?
