My guess would be 70-80% of ultra modern PSA 9’s are upside down in value

Here is a look at what has been graded so far from 2019 Prizm Basketball. A lot of these cards sell for $15 in Gem. These players probably make up a good part of the basketball backlog.

My suspicion is that they want to give priority to ultra modern as the risk of non-payment is higher. They also probably hire way more people for ultra modern as that is where the majority of the backlog is from and where most future backlog will come from.

Definite slowdown. Express had been clocking in at around 10 business days consistently door to pop.

Keeping express moving at express levels would mean they would need to assign more graders to that level, which they don’t want to do for obvious reasons. There has to be far fewer “express” cards in the stash of people.

Modern bulk 3/22 and 4/6 both in grading since October and November 2021. Each order spent nearly 7 months in R&ID. Nearly 4 months in grading. I do feel like they should clear the backlog (that they allowed) before accepting anymore bulk/value at any price level.

I got the upcharge email! Sent in a trout 2011 update and a 2020 Anthony Volpe BCA Refractor which got 10s, needless to say I'm happy paying.

Also sent in 2 2011 Bryce Harper BCA which only got 9s (cracked a min gem BGS 9.5 with 9 centering, and one raw) but whatever I will take it.
