Any idea how long assembly took? I'm at about 2 weeks for an order on April 6.

I usually don't check daily on most of my orders, but it was probably around 3-4 weeks in Assembly. 1-2 days in QA1 and then about 10 days in QA2.

That entry delay is concerning, especially for express. Did you include the bar code label on the outside of your box, so they knew it was an express level order?

Yeah, I did put the barcode on. They scanned it in and sent me an email the day it arrived saying they got it but then just let it sit there for a week after that before doing anything with it.

Somebody else on here had an express arrive the same day and had the same exact delay I believe. Wondering if they got crushed with a pre-Superbowl rush or something.

I was that guy. Mine was super express. It is currently in grading.

Can they move some of the "Ultra Modern Bulk" graders over to "Modern Bulk?" I have a 70 card Modern Bulk that was "Received per PSA" on 3/16/21 that is still in the Grading phase.

Maybe they are intent on opening ultra modern bulkand that's why it's moving so much quicker. Otherwise it makes no sense as one would think they would repurpose their staff to keep them both coming along at the same rate.

From a business sense, that's what I would do too. Get all the UM done first...lock in those higher fee cards as opposed to value modern...don't want any more issues with long overdue backlog and have people not pay like the fiasco that is with the Marx group subs....and once done, reallocated graders to modern. If this is happening, obviously they won't announce it

I suspect the losses on ultra modern cards are much greater than on modern for submitters. Many people were sending in basketball base rookies (Coby White, Rui Hachimura, Cam Reddish, Bol Bol etc.) that have probably fallen by 90% and sell for under $10 in a PSA 10. PSA may be worried about non-payment with UM more than Modern. My modern order has not even fallen by that much since I submitted them.

Got some huge Joey Burrow cards back just in time, double up charged on one of them. Lucky it wasn't a triple up charge. Also for some reason cards were not returned in graded card sleeves. My past orders have been, but not a big deal.

For whatever reason, this order jumped in front of about a dozen other current orders. My oldest is a TCG order which was logged 02/18/2021, followed by a Modern order logged 03/11. Both in the GRADING milestones.

BUT, to support the theory of the UM cards getting pushed along faster, I have another UM (304 cards) that's in ASSEMBLY and it was logged 4/14/2021.

Definitely was fortunate to have a grader who wasn't afraid to give out 10s. Although, there was a very large stack of cards that I would have loved to send in, but at $100 a pop, only the ones that look absolutely perfect to me get sent to California.

Sent two cards for review, end of Jan. Arrived 1/27/2022. First one is done, just a re-label, same grade (PSA-10) was maintained. Just finished today. This was a no-cost-to-me fix. I bought it like that with it being mis-labeled.

Ultra Modern bulk order entered 3/25 just popped overnight while my other 3 Modern bulks continue to sit in grading purgatory. Results were pretty much as expected with 71% gem, 28% mint and a couple 8’s.

A question to you:

Does it seem like PSA is starting to have problems again moving stuff through the system? I am reading a lot of delays in even the super express level. The backlog bombardment of March must be massive and the Marx card stuff, 50,000 cards. Wow

I wouldn’t say problems, just yet. Regular orders from even the week prior to mine definitely moved through the system quick but I’d say, with the 2/week allocations, a bottle neck was inevitable. I fully expected it.

The question is how quickly can they get back on track. $50 service is 90 days so if I get it back in that timeframe I guess it doesn’t really matter how much the first couple steps take (even if it can be mind numbing)
