Just to be clear, there were like 2 or 3 Curry Topps that got that high. At the same time, there were many still going for $300 or so. Definitely an outlier. Still, $300 was crazy enough.

Really digging the look of the Crusades. Picked up a Red /349 BGS 9.5 a couple days ago. With a lot of people getting priced out of the Silver Prizms, they seem like an untapped Prizm/Refractor product that could get some legs.

I wanted to add a PSA 10 Elite a few months ago. Never did... kinda regretting it now. Base /999 and condition sensitive. POP 13 currently

Oh...and Gold Standard Jersey Auto 9.5 Passed on quite a few of those.

Less than a week ago PWCC had an Elite PSA 10 go for $202. Thought it was a bargain then, but now lol.

Yes, but which Giannis card are we going to end up comparing to Curry base Topps? Certainly not Prizm, so which lower end. Is Hoops the new Topps Flagship of NBA? Productions numbers are probably similar. 2013 had Target/WalMart Exclusives. Some other tough parallels as well. Or ?

Hard to compare the two eras because of the brand name that Topps has. I think the Hoops has decent potential as a paper flagship, but at most they may peak at $40-50 raw with a trip to the Finals. Other than that, they'll stick in the $20s until further notice. Great looking card either way.

I agree, likely a lower ceiling. As noted above the Crusades are really nice in hand, and in much shorter supply. I like the all black back too, which keeps them all from being instant 10s or 9.5s.

I look at it the other way around. Someone paid an extra $400 for an extra 0.5 bump. On top of that, we all know the problems with Giannis Prizm surface - that BGS 9 can arguably be better than the 9.5 or at the same level.

People pay more for the bump. Both cards have 9.5 grades on Centering, Corners and Edges. The 9.5 has 9 on Surface... the 9 has an 8.5 on surface.

The 9.5 should see a bump... likely more than $400... like $700-800

People pay for a regular bump from 9 to 9.5, sure. But in this case, they'll be paying for a subgrade bump that takes a card from being a great 9 to a terrible 9.5.

The raw version of the card should be around 1700 right now. Paying almost 25% of the card's value to get a sub grade bump seems excessive to me. Specially since the Surface in both can be the same.

I picked up a few Crusade myself. I think they look really cool. I said this a couple years ago, but I think the Giannis picture on the Prizm is weird (I know, it doesn't matter). I love the pic on the Select and the Crusades are a cool design, with a full rainbow to pick up as well.

As Giannis has continued to rise, Crusade has gone up a little bit, but nothing compared to some others. Just the paper Crusade PSA 10 is going over $70 now, and those weren't even the draw in the product.

From what I remember $400 seemed to be the going rate for a while.

The 500 and 600$ sales were the exceptions.

Still, LeBron TC rookie refractors could be had for about $500 at the same time.

I bought the card. I've been looking for another 9.5 or even decent raw and couldn't find it. The card surface looks decent and I took a risk but I'm willing to pay more because the other subgrades are 9.5.

Maybe I overpaid, but I'm not waiting a year until I find the perfect deal at $1700. I also got 10% eBay cash ($100 max) so I really paid $1800.

If you are referring to the BGS 9, I think you actually got a great deal. I don't think it's an overpay by any means. Also, you have a decent chance of turning that into a 9.5 if you crack and resubmit.

I was talking about the base. There were only 5 base per box if I recall correctly (1 per pack). I think they were 4 numbered Crusades per box, that would make it around 1500 copies for the base.

I think the Blue Crusades are more than that. 18 Crusades a box, only 4 numbered...it would be somewhere around 2500.

Saw where a 9.5 Green Prizm RC was up for around 24 hours and sold for ~$1,200 already.

Pretty sure that's the highest sale for one so far. One just sold at auction for $848 on the 13th

nah, Bucks are [actually 'were'] cruising, and they're just starting a long road trip. It's been a pretty nonchalant game, though Giles is starting to outplay everyone and just cut the lead to 6 now.
