Careful with the bolded part, he's into the tons o' funs. If someone knocks at your door at 2 am, it would be best to pretend that you aren't home.

Leave Hope Solo out of this.
I'm afraid that's not possible sir. D2R has that kavorka in him that makes him impossible to resist

How creative can Topps get here? They could state that the cards were simply mislabeled and should have read "EVENT WORN" autograph.

Either there is something on it or the cards weren't prepped like they normally are.
Don't know when Topps made the change, but those certainly aren't Staedtler Lumocolors.

Sadly, I know this all too well and he has used it to take advantage of me far too many times.

Isn't that exactly what was shown on the video? It sure looked like it. I listened but couldn't make out what he called them. I have one and it looks exactly like what he was holding.

I think topps did these on purpose. They will soon offer a replacement for a random autograph. They just needed to clear out some old stock. I guess the real question is what would you rather have a smeared autograph of Chris Archer or a clean one of Angel Pagan?

Proving that the "every autograph is witnessed by a Topps employee" statement is completely false but most have figured out that was a lie years ago.

Why would they need Jerry, the auto guy, to make an instructional video if they did have a Topps employee present.

Looks like Topps in now using Stabilo Ohpen Permanent Fine Blue instead of Staedtler Lumocolor Permanent Fine Tip Blue.

I'm not convinced this is due to stacking after being signed. If that was the case wouldn't there be blue smudges on the backs of the cards as well?

That is indeed the word I heard. I thought it was just a mumbled 'Staedtler'. Are these other pens not good? Do you really think they are the issue and not the card surface? Even for Topps, I can't imagine they would screw with such an important part of the business without being sure it wasn't going to be a problem. They've proven me wrong many times before though.

I agree Dave, it doesn't look like a stacking issue. It looks as if the ink isn't adhering to the card surface.
