this is the most draft capital we're going to have for awhile so might as well go all in. we're not getting comp picks next year.

The only thing I'm sold on is if the media is saying it, they're only right out of sheer dumb luck as opposed to any sort of intelligent analysis.

As for the schools history, it is immaterial to how Troy Smith or Kirk Herbstreit or any other historical QB performed. All that matters is how the current prospect projects to the teams system. If Fields/Lance can't pick up/run the McD system, it doesn't matter how much talent they have.

I just look at it this way, Rex Grossman, Tim Tebow & Tom Tupa are your best NFL QBs in the last 50 years but for college power houses.

It's like USC, never trust any of their QBs in the NFL, Palmer was the last good one right? (Sanchez had his moments) The next was actually TE Billy B made back into a serviceable QB.

QB drafting is incredibly hard and playing the position even harder, but man, some of the schools, I don't get it and I just screams to me to stay away. So many of these guys could or should be 2nd round or 3rd round, but teams over reach.

We'll find out in a few days...I still say they trade up and take a long snapper

I have a feeling they end up with Fields somehow.

Has any Ohio State QB worked out in the NFL, ever?

My money is on Jimmy GQ.

Not saying that’s who I’d want, just a feeling. I’d prefer Lance. And I like Jimmy just fine, but I don’t see him as a long term option.

My expectation for this week
-they trade up for a qb.
-they deal a veteran like michel or harry
-heavy on dbs in middle round.
-they trade out of this years draft w/later picks to add picks for next year in middle rounds.

History means nothing. Peyton Manning went to UT. Brees went to Purdue. Brady went to Michigan. Ben to Miami Ohio. Other starters from North Dakota State. Texas A&M. North Carolina. Texas Tech. Fresno State. NC State. Georgia. Louisville. LSU. What are the QB power schools exactly? Oklahoma and?

I really hope the Pats do not trade up for a QB unless they can do it without giving up a #1 next year. I'd rather see them stand pat at 15, take a defensive player, and take a QB in the 2nd round.

Not sure how I feel about Jones, but I’m glad they didn’t have to trade up to get him.

@jeffphowe
Belichick: "Cam's our quarterback. Whatever time Mac or Jarrett are able to compete, we'll see how it goes."

As an Alabama and Patriots fan, I'm about as happy as could be. People love to hate on Mac for some reason (Bama fatigue?) but he's a maestro out there. And putting him behind a top 5 OL with time to get through his reads and move up in the pocket is gonna be a huge benefit. He fits in perfect with their screens out of the backfield and dump passes.

Alright, round two where do we go? Offense seems restocked to an extent. Maybe grab an Elijah Moore or Rondale Moore as slot receiver? Dylan Moses at LB? Corner?

OMG...Mac Jones's GF Sophie is Melenia wrapped in a Kardashian wrapped in a Stepford wife trying to sell you Mary Kay 24/7 365. 98.5 just did a little read through on her social media sites which are backed by a sport marketing/marketing company...they either are joking or a serious with trying to get her on the show this morning/afternoon.

100% agree.

This couldn't have worked out better. He fits in perfectly with their system.
