Go with PSA or BGS if you are planning to sell your cards in the future. Most collectors stay away from GMA. GMA has lenient grading standards compared to PSA and BGS. A GMA 10 would probably come back as PSA 9 at best.

Had the pleasure of seeing one of the ‘18 Update US250 Acetate /10 today at a local show. Guy pulled it a couple days ago, but it had a deep surface scratch unfortunately. Still a beaut though.

Unfortunately, the clear acetate are notorious for their surface issues (mainly scratches). It is difficult to get a gem mint grade on these. Sometimes, a straight view will not show the scratches clearly. You have to look at an angle to appreciate the scratches.

I have a 2019 Topps Soto Acetate and it has a few scratches on the surface. I think Topps Clear have a ton of surface issues too. They should use lexan or some kind of space age polymer. Have an /3 made out of flex seal or something. Lol.

I have several Robles Clearly Auto's. All have some sort of surface issue.

Beautiful card! PSA 10 will probably remain pop 1 given the surface issues on these cards. I know you had some great Acuna stash. Do you still have them or sold most of them?

It should be noted Ron is still #3 on cardboard connection’s hot list. Even above Yeli and Belli. Could be much worse.

Correct me if I’m wrong, beautiful card but the top to bottom centering looks off a bit. Looks shifted up. Normally there’s more tan of the bat showing at the top. Also there’s a lot of space at the bottom. Does psa not take into account centering that much?

The criteria used for centering on these cards is a matter of debate. It has been discussed before as well. Few think the graders look at the back of the card to determine the centering on 2018 Topps Update and Topps Chrome Update cards. However, that does not apply to clear acetate, which brings us to the other methods of assessing the centering. Some have suggested the letter A (Acuna cards) or W (Soto cards) and how much of it is cut off on the front right lower corner. Some have suggested the distance of topps or topps chrome logo from the top right and top corners. To me, the last one makes sense but not sure what graders are really using to assess centering on these cards.

To give you an example, the first time I submitted my card, it received a centering sub-grade of 9. When I resubmitted it again, it received a centering sub-grade of 10. I don't think anyone knows for sure what criteria is used for assessing centering on these cards. This is what I was referring to when I mentioned the distance of topps or topps chrome logo from the top right and top corners. -

EDIT: If you go by the distance of topps from the top corner and top right corners, you are correct, the top to bottom centering is slightly off but PSA is slightly lenient on centering. The key point is the surface is flawless (according to PSA), which is very rare in clear acetate cards.

I know we're talking about a clear, so not sure it matters, but the Topps logo positioning varies wildly. I've seen some that are close to the edge, some that are close to the RC logo, etc.
