Does anyone here like the Luck of the Lottery prizm cards? Doesn't get talked about much and prices seems also cheap in comparison to others...

That is true, currently. The Blue Prizm /199 is a $20k card now but you yourself classified it as a mid end card. I agree it is a mid end card as well but with a high end card price tag. BTW, I love the blue prizm and think it is a beautiful card with a now iconic photo. That said, I can't see how that card was out selling a Luka Flawless vertical RPA which explains why I think the way I do.

The market/we dictate what we love and what we don't. It wasn't that long ago that the collective hobby wanted RPA's and low numbered RC autos. Base cards and non auto parallels were left for the lower end collectors. Now there are investors and figure heads that have publicly pumped and pushed base cards to the masses as an easy form of liquid investments. They are merely commodities that are easily bought and sold which has caused the largest surge in "base and parallels" that I have ever seen in this hobby. When you move the clock forward 5yrs this may not be the case. Do you think high end collectors want base and low numbered parallels of Lebron more or less than his on card auto's from his RC year? With the exception of Topps Chrome Refractor, Black and Gold I would say the auto's are more sought after. Only recently has those base cards and parallels sky rocketed. I love the hobby and all the new blood in it but I won't take one specific thing that's popular today and think that will hold true from now until years from now. The hobby shifts and changes all the time. PSA is almost up to 2x BGS in many regards. It was less than 5 yrs ago that BGS was 1.25x PSA. Many things can and will change, I'm banking on low numbered auto's and RPA's being the better investment over time but I will still buy the other stuff too

This was merely for discussion and not an argument or attack, and I totally agree that Prizm is the icon and must have RC....for now.

Inserts don't do well, in general. But, still a cool card to have.

I know somebody that has a 2nd year red Crusade /149 for $125. Last one ended for $57 but guessing thats an outlier/good deal somebody came up on.

I know 2019-20 Crusade silvers are going for around $100+ right now, would you go red for $125 or grab the silver? Obviously the red is numbered to /149..

edit: theres a bronze out there now too but asking price is $269

It's so insane (in a good way) that its a 20K card. When the Prizm blue /199 was a $3,000 card I immediately picked up five optic oranges /199 and two Blues /49 to make sure all of my "optic" bases were covered.

No confirmed sale but I own the card and have received multiple offers much higher than 20k. I believe the last confirmed sale (to my knowledge) was about a month ago at 20k. Market has shifted significantly since then.

When silver were going for 1k, blue were around 5k both in PSA 10 so you are looking at about a 5x multiplier and even at that I think blue are still undervalued

For what it is worth I had an offer of 30k on my psa 10 blue ice and turned it down

I do because of the Team color and plus the Blue/199 rarely pops up... Just my opinion

I just pulled a redemption from 2018 chronicles for one of luka’s origins autographs out of 99. I think these went live back in November of 2019, and a number of them are clearly selling well (last night one went for well over $3k).

What do you guys think the likelihood is that panini is still sending these out? The expiration date on the redemption isn’t until 12/2020.

Blue Ice definitely should still be worth more. Still a 'blue' parallel, looks really nice, and is literally 2x as rare.

There are 0 PSA 10 of anything serial numbered from Revolution currently available... thats insane! No one owning will let those numbered psa 10s go!

You really have no choice but to get a non serial numbered psa 10 Revolution...or hunt for a #'d card.
