My College was having a Game Used Hockey Jersey sale, steep buy in at $125 but should be interesting as I sold one last year for $200 in less than a week. They have a big one at the end of the year with team issued polos and jackets so can't wait for that one.

Replica Patrick Roy helmet at savers. One sold for accepted BO that was listed at $50, then there’s on for $199 OBO. Only 1000 made. Usually don’t bite on something like this, and I didn’t buy it.

Might go back but wanted to see if anybody had any opinions.

Today's episode of Sold! is live. I have a tip about how to increase the number of keywords for a listing.

I put measurements in all listings. Only had one instance of some jerkoff saying I was a partial of one inch (bigger) than I said.

I used to put measurements in and still got questions about them also had more complaints in regard like sold a shirt where my measurement was 1/8th of an inch smaller than actual size. Ebay rep told me if I had just left the measurements out I would have won the claim.

Yep. I think NOT putting in measurements makes the seller look lazy and unprofessional, and takes away from sales.

Just watched sold and utilized your keyword additions. I knew about it, but never used it until now.

Did not make a difference in my sales either way. I honestly do not care about clothing anymore unless its an obviously vintage item, concert related or jeans I am not going to be listing it. Have 6 bags of Tommy Bahama and related stuff I am taking to the Salvation Army later today, I will take the loss just to get rid of it.

Clothing is a dying category. In the past year several of the largest sellers have scaled way back or started moving into other categories due to this. Ebay sales trends have shown a drastic decrease in the category.

Completely agree with this. I used to be able to get $15-20 for a used Tommy Bahama, Nat Nast, Thomas Dean etc. Now I am lucky to sell for more than what I bought it for, which is usually $2-3. To top that off I can get these brands brand new at various overstock stores in my area for 90% off retail value, and still not make a profit. Market has fallen out big time on clothes. It has to be very unique or rare for me to have any interest in reselling.

I am still doing pretty well with clothes, but brands like Tommy Bahama and Ralph Lauren, unless they are rare finds, I'm just not picking up anymore. I hope to go full time in a couple years so I am building inventory and the sales are staying really consistent.

That is part of the issue, you can go out and buy the new items for 90% off retail what incentive is there for used clothing anymore? Unless its rare or very unique then there is none and that stuff is getting harder and harder to find in stores for reasonable prices due to the increase in people doing it. There were about 75-100 people at the 2.00 thrift store in Dallas last Thursday waiting for them to open. Everyone of them went straight to the clothing, I went to the hardlines and should clear over 400.00 from what I picked up and the few clothes I snagged on my way to them should bring a few more dollars but nothing like the hard items.

The videos are great sources of info, but at the same time they are encouraging more competition. So its a double edged sword, that is why many of your large Youtubers either no longer sale on Ebay or have scaled way back themselves as they make more money off the videos.

I would suggest finding other categories. Everyday more and more sellers enter the clothing market saturating and already over saturated marketplace. There are many other categories that are far more profitable and less of a headache.

I am definitely expanding into other categories, actually just sold my first dvd/vhs combo player that I ever picked up last week for $150. I know there is competition, in fact a couple youtubers actually shop at some of the same stores I do. But I still feel there is plenty of profit for me in clothing.

Also ebay is not the only place to move items. Poshmark, Etsy, Facebook Market Place, Yard Sales, Flea Markets and so on. Nice sale with the dvd/vhs combo player. You can find those easy because peole don't wan't to deal with the bulky items. Yard sale and Flea Markets are great places to pick them up at.

Around here, the other goods are sent to the goodwill website or jacked up so high it isnt worth it. Of course there are things here and there, but clothing is still the bread and butter for resellers.

Btw, agree on polo, izod, nautica etc. If it isnt NWT for 2 or 3 bucks, vintage, or anything it isnt worth grabbing. I probably pass up 100 polo shirts a day when I go searching. Theu are a dime a dozen. I rarely see Tommy bahama, but I'm a sucker for it. Under armour seems to he a great seller. I pick up ts for 2 or 3 bucks and move them pretty quick at 11 or 12 plus shipping.

Poshmark scores from yesterday.

Bo Jackson Nike jersey $10. Maybe get on eBay $50
Snoop dog 1992 concert t for $8. eBay maybe $60+
Anheuseir Busch satin jacket $10. eBay $30?
Edmonton Oilers Sweater Jersey $8. eBay $30
Basketball jersey of some famous Greek player for $5. eBay 40-50
Red Man K Brand trucker hat $5. eBay 30+
Bears, dolphins, bulls sports specialties hats. $18 for all. eBay $50
Angels 80s pillbox hat $5. eBay $30ish

It’s a lot of sifting through junk and overpriced stuff.and a lot of junk Mitchell And Ness hats.

But there are people selling stuff just to get rid of it because they think it’s junk.

Need some help gents. Am I looking at a bootleg shirt here? No signs of tag being ripped off or anything. Anybody familiar with this brand?

I picked up on the timberland, the astronaut appears to be a brand called billionaire boys club I think? I don’t know if this is some collab bootleg style. Was hoping someone more familiar with the brand could advise.
