It's nice to see him start well, but it's not terribly meaningful. A bad WEEK and his stats collapse LOL. Like any prospect it will be a long term process to find out.

Starting to heat up at the plate. Wish the damn team would start winning though.

Things must be really rough if a 1 for 5 yesterday and .161/.161/.258 the last 7 games is heating up.

I have watched him in a few games here and there and he does look the part
Excellent bat speed, compact swing, fast on the bases, strong throwing arm Fans have noted he has picked up a bad habit he did not exhibit earlier in the season, which may be a factor in his recent struggles On just about any other ball club, the Hitting Coach would have seen this and corrected it in short order, but alas he is a Royal They will NOT address it until the All-Star Break, possibly the off-season as it is the org's philosophy to let their players flounder or "grind it out" as it builds character ie grittyness (Non-Royals viewers may have to see it to believe it) He is ball sackly the only player the Royals deem untouchable, which may be unfortunate for him in the short term but i suspect he will be fine either way as the team looks to be moving to greener pastures as soon as 2026 |

Trout autos weren't going for what they are now, huge difference and pressure to exceed to warrant these insane prices.

Wow…it’s like I manifested this. What else should I do with these newfound powers that I now hold?

Exactly, both Witt Jr. and Rodriguez have the potential of becoming good Major League Baseball players, however to maintain and justify their current prices they will have to jump to a different level and so far that hasn’t been the case. They are still learning and making adjustments but to pay top dollar for either at this moment doesn’t make any sense. The season is far from over so at the end the balance will be made and we will see how far they are in their development.

He will likely get hot at some point but at the end of the season the stats he will put up wont be enough to keep some nervous speculators from dumping I am a believer in his talent and welcome a lower entry point to obtain desirable RC's when they release later on in the season |

All it takes is a trip to Coors to help deal with things

What makes me mad about Topps with his RC is that 2022 Bowman is his prospect card yet Cruz has his RC in it when he is currently in AAA. I hate that they can play around in a given year on what they can give out as a non-rookie card when they have been up the whole year.

Is he the next Kelenic or Joe Addel? That's why I stay away from these rookies until after a few yrs. Too much hype, I rather spend my money on Bryce Harper or manny machado both are getting better and will be hall of famers.

Look at Kelenic and Jo Addel along with CJ abrams. All supposed to be the next face of the franchises, they got sent down MLB isn't playing around anymore just like the NFL. Not doing well get sent down, go work on your issues somewhere else's we are trying to win. People get caught up in the hype buying these cards. I'll keep buying pujols and Cabrera rookie cards cheaper than these incoming rookies which most of them won't pan out well.
