Bobby Witt Jr. is he legit?

That's awesome! Way too early to know if he's legit or not, but as a Royals fan I certainly hope so.

To answer your question, nobody knows. He had a less than stellar showing in the AZL last year but to be fair not many KC hitting prospects did very well last year at any level. Ceiling is high but very high risk.

Wow! Sweet pull! I think he is capable of being a solid regional star, but I don't think he has the tools to be a superstar or face of the franchise.

His father was decent

He has the physical tools, he was brought up around the game and has a good head for the game.

Ignore the chatter about the small sample size.

Unless I just truly believed in him (in both my heart and gut)...I would have that card already packaged up, just waiting for the highest bidder's name & shipping address.

Yeah, I don't have a prospector's mindset. A raw orange shimmer sold for $2,600 a week ago, I'd have a hard time keeping that card knowing it can sell for that price right now.

Sell it OP. Sell it now to the fool waiting for him to slash .237/.319/.399 in Single A next year.

My two cents (don't be mad, just my opinion); I would sell, highly unlikely his values maintain current levels let alone rise substantially

The royals have shown little to no ability to develop hitting talent on any kind of consistent basis plus no minors this year so next time u see a possible bump would be next spring?

Sweet pull. Take your 1500-1800 sale after fees and buy something nice for your pc or something of an established player. Unless you really believe that hes the next big thing. Or in comparison, Francisco Lindors auto sells for just a little more than his. So i guess he doesn't have to be the next big thing he just has to be as good as lindor.

Dad was picked 1st round 3rd overall 1985. Kid looks legit @ 19 he is said to be a natural leader.

I have read some scouting reports on him. Swing and miss issues. Last year he was a little older than most high school prospects. Some concern.

90% chance there won’t be regrets selling now. These prospect cards are priced as if the player a will be a superstar.

Still a great pull though at this time. I would read up on him and form a personal opinion.

I agree, sell and pick up a cheaper Witt auto like the base or something just in case.

That’s a great idea. I think he’s an above average defensive player but his hitting is questionable right now. Standard Royals player. I would look to get it graded and sell perhaps. Nice Pull!

Arguably highest ranked prospect to likely be a MLB SS. Wander Franco is ranked higher, but many believe Witt Jr has a better chance of remaining at SS. MLB Pipeline's SS list has Lux (likely 2B) and Royce Lewis (likely CF) ahead of him. Congrats.

1) LOL...Wander Franco ain't moving from SS. No Chance in Hell.
2) Sell Bobby Witt Jr. right now. 2nd highest seller in product behind Jasson.
3) If the condition warrants it submit it to BGS 2-day service before listing it on ebay or giving it to a consignor.
