So it looks like high end (autos and SSP's) are on fire right now and setting new all time highs. What does everyone think we happen this year assuming Ohtani performs and does Ohtani things. Will his RC cards return to 2021 highs?

I finally decide to pull the trigger and start stocking up on Ohtani and everyone and their mother decides to do the same thing. 3 months ago prices were so much better ugh. I hope I can knock off at least 2 more SP/SSP before the season starts.

You're not joking about the sudden increase in demand. Inbox getting blown up with dudes trying to clean out my Ohtani inventory, one guy going so far as to ask for my cell number so he can call me to discuss making arrangements for a payment plan for a high end Ohtani rookie auto. Can't even make this stuff up lmao

You would not believe the layaway plans that people try to make for Ohtani cards. I feel you.

I always reply and thank them for the offer, but no thank you. In reality, I want to reply and tell them that they have bigger issues if they are budgeting their life's finance plan around a trading card.

The few times I have held back cards for people, they have fell through 100% of the time. I just can't deal with the waiting for the VA check to arrive stories anymore.

Lmao I’m a veteran, not service connected, but I remember waiting for that VA GI Bill check every first of the month when I was in school lol.

Oh, it counts! I bought tons of Ohtani cards at the peak! But the good news I keep on buying and dollar cost averaging. My prediction is if Ohtani is healthy and performs like the last two years his SP's, SSP's, and numbered cards all reach all time highs (and hopefully stay that way). I don't think base cards will get back to 2021 highs, though I can only hope as I have a ton of base cards!
