Almost certain I'll end up at one of the days of these. I kind of have to, right?

I guess the question for card collectors is how will it look for us. From first glance this seems like a bigger version of those GTSM shows where you might find cards chances are you will only see memorabilia and autographs. and when I card collectors I mean dealers selling cards not people with huge "BUYING' signs or breakers or stuff like that.

This won't be and never has been marketed as a card Show. There will be a small section for it but Fanatics Fest is about the experience not buying/selling. There will be other Fanatics related events down the road where buying/selling will be more prevalent like the Orlando show later this year or early 2025. If all you care about are cards then it's probably not going to be your cup of tea but if you are a sports fan in general then it's probably going to be awesome. That said just like The National there will always be haters who go specifically so they can find things wrong and point them out.

I don't get this at all from the marketing. Seems like a section with hundreds of card vendors along with Topps having several exclusive offerings.....I'm sure Ill have no problem buying more than my wallet holds.

Didn't realize this was the same weekend as the East Coast National in White Plains. Very dumb.

This is the feeling I had as well. I typically don't care much about card shows since I don't have the patience to look at dozens of tables for a $50-100 Yankee or Jet card I could pick up on Ebay in 10 seconds.

Some of the panels seem like they'd be fun. Too bad the celebrity fantasy draft and CM Punk interview are overlapping on Saturday.

Weird choice. What are the chances Tyson gets through that without referencing prison sex or eating children?

Hasn't that been their MO for big releases too?

It's on purpose. Fanatics thinks NYC, especially Manhattan, is underserved and they're looking to push more into it.

The problem for NYC shows is the cost for out of state dealers to be there. It's hard for the middle range dealers to make back the cost of doing a show in NYC.
Nothing nearby is affordable to stay or commute from for a long weekend. The unions also get their fingers in on everything brought into a place like Javits Center. You can't pull up and unload your own stuff. Table costs are high since the buildings are expensive for promoters to reserve.
I've been around things since the early 80s and this is why they have never had The National in NYC.

Is attendance doing well? I'm being hit left and right on instagram by Fanatics Fest ads/posts/re-posts, etc.

They are mentioning almost sold out...yet I don't think that is the case. They will gladly take your $50 at the door to get in...

I did meet a PA dealer today who deals in a lot of different things (buys a lot of auto stuff from my buddy) but is just bringing high end cards and a few autos, like Ruth, to the show.

PSA just sent out a 15% off coupon. Doubt it's almost sold out

FanaticsFest “5 Dealers to Know”. 4 of the 5 started their business in either 2019 or 2020. I don’t know if that means anything but I think it means something?

I've only heard of Roadshow Cards, never heard of the others.

Indeed. He's not a good person at all, but you know... Let's put him on some exclusive baseball cards because Rubin is a tryhard.

Making a Travis Scott set goes to show how out of touch Fanatics is.

"Travis Scott was hype during the pandemic four years ago. Let's slap him on a card, it'll sell like hot cakes." - Rubin

What's next? Bad Bunny parallels?
