I'm not sure how the other boxes are but the ETBs have been fun to break. My daughter and I opened one this morning and finally got the Shiny Mew 25/25, Shining Magikarp, Dark Gyarados, Pikachu's B-Day and another Professor's Research full art.

I'd love to get an Ultra Premium Collection box for the metal cards but can't see myself spending more than double the retail price for it!

Opened the 1 ETB I found at retail today and did pretty well.

Charizard VMAX from a Darkness Ablaze pack
Surfing and Flying Pikachu VMAX
Surfing Pikachu V
Garchomp C X
Imposter Oak and Here Comes Team Rocket

And my second Gold Mew Secret Rare! Two if them in 2 boxes, one ETB and one Charizard V box.

If anyones interested in joining an ultra premium case break i just posted it. Ive been pretty fortunate with my target and walmart runs. Opened 6 etbs. Finally got my charizard blastoise and venusar but still missing 9 cards in the set. Lots of dupes of some nice cards though. So many birthday pikachus! B
Need that golden shiny mew though!

Retail product continues to elude me here in Madison WI. Have made about 10-12 stops over the last week at various Walmarts, targets, B&N, and Walgreens. Haven’t seen a single celebrations product anywhere.

Not a problem. Weirdly enough it shows as Out of Stock now on the product page I listed but you can add to your cart from the search screen if you search for Pokemon Trading Cards.

Shining magikarp might be my favorite card in the set. I don't even really like magikarp, but something about the yellow fish on that sparkly blue background inside a blue and yellow card is just money.

Congrats. The Targets here did not have the Premium set, They had the limited Figure sets.

Hopefully they still come out.

it seems like there's a lot of demand...more than supply. lots of people camping overnight at Gamestop and Target parking lots. so that bodes well I think for the stuff that's only in the UPC box.

i'm a total novice with Pokemon, so I'm curious to hear what people think too. I love ripping stuff too...but wondering if holding sealed might be a better play?

It will depend. I think it could get down to $200 (currently $300+) once they’re in hand but at the same time demand is certainly much higher that the supply that’s available right now. I was hearing GS nationally were only getting 2-4 max per store in person while the whisper number for the online stock early this morning was only 1635. We should see these available at Targets, Walmart and BestBuy but I’m not sure how much were allocated to those stores. TCPi has always printed to demand but ultra premium boxes have avoided this reprint fate historically (not sure if this time will be different). So putting this all in a blender, if you really want this box, I would think the next 2 weeks or so will be the best opportunity to buy one at a better price before they trend upward.

Also wondering if the gold cards are gradeable - watched a couple breaks last night and it looked like there might be some gold chipping/flaking issues...like maybe these would be super hard to Gem. And would grading companies even grade a gold card - not totally sure.

It's a gold metal Charizard and Pikachu. Long term this set will be what people will want from this set I think.

I'd compare it to the Rayquaza PC from HF which is crazy expensive now. I still have 3-4 of those sealed I think.

If they don't re-print this thing is will be very expensive down the road and I'm hearing the metal cards have common surface issues so if you find one in mint condition you might have something that is pretty rare.

I got two for pre-order at $200 and I'll probably open one and keep one sealed but if these don't show up at Targets and Wal-Marts in high amounts like the other products it's going to skyrocket as people panic.

Was anyone able to grab any UPCs? I went to Target at 8 this morning and 4 of us waited in line lol they had nothing out. I called from work at 11 and they said they had 2 left... WHAT THE HELL MAN. So I left work to drive there. Snagged the last one. Totally worth it.
