This is a dump product this year, for sure. Watched enough to agree with OP and some others. Yes, they are hitting the vague guarantees, but it’s bogus content.

Any of you who were actively buying in 2016-19 know this product would be (and should still be based on value) a Black Friday special for $50 per box and still be hard to move.

I saw one breaker open 25 boxes of this, and he pulled a total of three nice autos ( 2 QB's).

I opened 100 boxes of this on Wednesday and this product is beyond beyond loaded. 1/1s were flying out, Panini One/Limited/Select/Origin autographs were flying out. The collation was amazing with a mix of all the great products they don't make exclusively for college uniforms. Yes, most of the non cracked ice cards are numbered to 49 or more but that makes sense because you are getting a card numbered to 11 guaranteed. Most products you only get at most 1 card numbered that low per box. After saying this we did hit so many cards numbered to 10 or less!

How low end Score autos did you get from 100 boxes?
Also how many 1/1's and good hits are you talking about?
When opening 100 boxes, it can be misleading to hit several, because you should with that many boxes.

1/1 Origins RPAs of Justin Fields, Kyle Pitts, Ian Book, and Najee Harris.

Trey Lance 1/1 "One" Quad Tag Patch Autograph

1/1 Encased patches of Trevor Lawrence, Kyle Pitts, and Najee Harris.

Plates and Patches Jumbo 1/1 Logo patches of Jamie Newman, Travis Etienne, and 2 other scrubs (can't remember name off top of head)

We hit 5 Lawrence autographs, Lawrence Optic Gold non auto, and cracked ices of all the top kids were flying out.

I wouldn't have been able to sell 100 boxes in 1 day if this product wasnt loaded.....

Ok that seems pretty good. Maybe there are more nice boxes like this, but if so, Panini did not mix them up very well.

I think this is the problem. A collation issue.

Just opened 2 boxes, one FOTL from panini direct and one preorder from SC. Both total garbage. Not one card worth mentioning. From what I’m reading it’s 90% junk boxes and 10% loaded. So much for quality control I guess...

Packman and Packer Cards both posted their break videos today 5/6 autos between the 2 were Score with the other being a no name Rated Rookie. I truly don't get having a low end product like Score that just came out make up 75% of your autos for a product with 13 auto subsets. I have yet to see a justifiable expiation for it.

If you can understand that the way the hits are distributed that it’s a massive risk rip then go for it. You’ll still get a ton of base rookies from some cool sets, although I don’t think they will hold much value except for maybe the Chrome Optic and Select.

It’s still a fun product but it’s the quality and depth of autos I have a real beef with. Last year hits were exceptionally well balanced in boxes and this year it’s been proven by anyone willing to listen that’s not true.

The problem is with expectations:

NFL Draft: 7 Rounds, 259 Picks
NBA Draft: 2 Rounds, 60 Picks

That hasn't changed for decades.

While true again this misses the mark. You will ALWAYS have garbage autos in every football draft product that’s ever produced. It’s the DIFFERENCE of the auto distribution quality this year vs last year in the SAME product (Chronicles Draft) that is the issue.

The Chronicles 13 base sets only have the bigger names, so the fact that they put in so many scrubs is very odd for a product like this.
Also you would think it would be easier to hit the bigger names in basketball, but it's really not much easier, because they will put undrafted guys, plus many basketball products like Contenders yields fewer autos per box.

Did anyone see points cards in Chronicles? I watched a couple cases and didn't see any, maybe more low end autos instead of 150 to 250 points?

Also, why the heck are there college score in this when college score already exists? Really makes the product beyond bad.

Of all the complaining about this product, your post is the most legitimate question asked. It really doesn’t make sense for Score to be a part of this.

I like the ‘89 Retro Score base rookies but for the auto subset the Score autos are awful and they’re by far the most prevalent pull. If last years Chronicles Draft wasn’t so good you wouldn’t see nearly as much complaining.

It’s not a bad product IMO but it’s well below last years set and it’s not because the draft class is weaker. I think the draft classes last year and this are roughly equivalent.

On a tangent is it really that difficult to collate properly?
