It's funny, two years ago Kris Bryant struck out 199 times in his rookie year and people on here were putting him in the hall of fame.

People forget the "Yankee effect"

Always a good thing to invest in hot young Yankee talent, such as AJ. Yankee fans have deep pockets and want to own the next great Yankee RC card.

He also has an MVP now and wasn't known to be a big strikeout hitter. And if you look at his stats he's drastically cut them down each year since 2015.

I was thinking about this last night. out of the following possibilities, guess which one would cause me to panic and unload my AJ cards the quickest? hint - it's the last one.

1.) AJ strikes out in every game from now to the end of the season.
2.) Yankees miss playoffs.
3.) AJ doesn't get the rookie HR record.
4.) AJ ends season at $260 with "only" 40 HR.
5.) AJ gets traded from Yankees to another team.

Then yes, he did strike out a ton. But what I was trying to say is that Judge was known to be a strikeout hitter before he hit the majors, KB not so much. And you can tell looking into his stats in 16' and 17'. Obviously we won't know with Judge until later, but being a prior strikeout hitter I wouldn't see that trend stopping anytime soon. Judge struck out 25.10% of his at bats in the minors.
