Aaron Judge

Does anyone think his prices are fairly soft right now? Had a solid spring and has a good shot at winning the RF starter over Hicks.

And before somebody posts it....

Great, thanks for bringing attention. I wanted to get a few more lol

Kid has started slow at almost every level and picks it up. No reason to think his debut last year wasn't just history repeating. I think hes going to be a BIG part of the Yanks moving forward.

Gotta disagree here, he started off hot when called up to the show. Then cooled off and showed his true colors, in my opinion. I'm a Yankees fan and I hope I'm wrong about this kid.

I wish the people well who have invested in him, but he has to be one of the most overrated prospects there is right now IMO. He's already almost 25 (!) and he looked lost most of last year when he got called up. He did well at triple A but it's not like he was killing it there either, and he was 24. He's one of the easiest sells I can think of.

Buy Bird, Sell Judge

Yeah, the risk/reward on Aaron Judge's items is quite poor at this point. I really expected the thread to be how he's overpriced. 'Fairly soft' is not even close to how I would categorize it. In fact, his prices have materially gone up within just the past few months alone. His profile and performance to this point certainly don't justify these type of prices and won't sustain that much longer unless he really turns it around at the major league level.

I was *this* close to laying down $100 on Judge to be the AL HR Leader at 200:1 in Las Vegas last weekend.

I like those odds and would take a flyer on Judge leading.

Kobe101 03-28-2017 07:49 PM

But he is a Yankee so if he does well for a period he could explode

That happened after two homers in his first two games....and then the ks started...as a Yankee fan I hope he pans out. Such a huge strike zone to cover

IronMonkey415 03-28-2017 08:11 PM

This the guy that looks like Aaron Gordon right? That basketball player.

bwalter1 03-28-2017 09:58 PM

I see him as being Mark Reynolds.

ajs213 03-28-2017 10:05 PM

To anyone worried about the huge amount of Ks last season: he has a history of taking time to adjust when he moves up a level. He still should have quite a few Ks, but don't be surprised if things click and he ends up being a guy who goes .260/30.

Bingo.

NY sports radio today....2 different show hosts strongly believe Judge will not be on opening day roster.

jcmint 03-28-2017 11:53 PM

This is the yEar to give the kid his ab's
The yanks are not expected to contender. Give him the ab's to see what you really have.

I agree 100 percent. Easy sell in my opinion. I don't see him being part of the Yankees future

Thankfully, he has cut the strikeouts down in spring training. Hopefully it continues into the season.

Not sure what their thinking is considering he is doing well in spring training and Hal already said he was the team's starting right fielder well before spring training started.

That's gonna be his biggest issue to overcome. MLB pitchers know how to pitch... they will paint the edges... high and low. If he can adjust... he will do fine. If not... it's gonna be a long season.

Pitchers arn't trying to win in ST. They are just trying to get some work in.

Met fan and I don't prospect so you are probably right...

But I still feel like as a Yankee if he has another back to back game with homers the average fan could still go on eBay buy at a premium.

I also have no skin in the game so I am not trying to plead my case.

I think I have 3 Heritage Actions. 1 for set and the other 2 came in a lot with the Bregman and Moncadas I wanted ...
