Part of that was trolling, but part was also serious. Nobody should be shocked if Vladdy is better than Soto. But yes, both great players. But at this point I’d personally lean Vladdy

I am happy he is raking, but most of his #s come from TD park, interesting to see how he performs when they moved to Buffalo or going back to Rogers Centre.

Players usually hit better at home, unless they’re in a notoriously difficult hitter’s park. But Buffalo is a launching pad, and I’ve always had the impression that SkyDome (sorry, Rogers Centre) is friendly to the bats. So, he’s not likely to be hampered by those parks. I’d be more concerned about how changing homes twice during the season might play with the psyche (though I’m not that concerned).

Also, as Biohazard suggested, he doesn’t hit cheapies.

We have the same problem in Northern California. Pac Bell Park turned into AT&T Park, and then into Oracle Park. It’s the most beautiful baseball stadium, yet it’s always been saddled with an ugly corporate name.

Toronto has this problem on two fronts. The Rogers Centre (which most people STILL call the SkyDome) and the arena where the Raptors play. We went 20 years calling it "The ACC" (Air Canada Centre) and now it's "ScotiaBank Arena". Millions of dollars exchanged hands for that but it's STILL known as The ACC.

Calling the dome "Rogers SkyDome" is brilliant, to the person who mentioned it.

The first time I went to Oakland Coliseum, there was a man selling shots of Hennessey on the street right outside. Like, you'd drink it from the same plastic cup as everybody else. Imagine that in a post-COVID world.

They are both still relatively undervalued given their potential, but I’m willing to sell some less significant cards to get something better before the big stuff gets completely out of reach for me and my meager funds!
