If you redeemed your mystery redemption, you should receive the Lloyd and Rodman red autograph. You will not be getting any memorabilia at all, just those two cards, but those are worth close to $2000 together. I'm surprised you haven't received them yet.

I got the Sophia S. autograph today, which gives me both versions. I'm the only person to own a full signature version to this point. It also gives me a full set of series 2 autographs.

That is pretty amazing, great job on the set. I have only seen one of the Sophia Smith full name auto’s as well, that was a great pick up.

Yeah, I'm totally cool with the replacement.

Sent them a message on Instagram, which was read but not responded to, and sent Matt an email which I didn't hear back from either.

May have to reach out on the FB group to see if I hear anything

Got the package today. It was sent on the 3rd, so didn't take long at all. Matt was concerned because on Monday, no updates had been made to the tracking.

Hey everyone, I'm a little late to collecting NWSL. But, read a few pages of this thread and really enjoy the content.

Today, I picked up some packs from Walmart, and pulled this Sophia Smith NextWave. Does anyone have a backstory on this misprint/error?

Also, some of the other Nextwave cards have a smooth/glossy surface and not etched like the other NextWave cards?

Hi James! I rarely post pics on here, but I can post yours if you send a link to me in a PM.

I'm a collector of the Parkside sets for sure, but I'm not aware of an error on the Sophia Smith Next Wave card, so I'm interested to see it.

I know they had some errors on other cards in that set where they switched backs and fronts, but my understanding was those were corrected in the Walmart "blue" version of the Next Wave set, and the Sophia Smith card was not one of the cards affected by the wrong back error anyway.

With regard to your other question, I've heard some talk about different surfaces on some of the cards, but I've never noticed it myself in the ones I have. Apparently there are surface variations, but at this time I think it's generally unknown whether one version is more rare than the other.

That's not really an error, just a misprinted card. I have three different insert cards that are similar in nature, and I have seen several others. It's still a cool card though.

Regarding the error, I agree with Oberheimer's comment above. I will add that it could be a good one to hang onto, as it's a known printing issue and affects a card of a key player in the set, so maybe could have some value down the line to a player collector.

Regarding the damaged auto, are you a member of the NWSL Trading Card Collectors group on Facebook? People have had luck with getting the co-owner of Parkside to replace damaged autos from the set by posting them there. Not for little things like dinged corners or rough edges (they all seem to have these issues) but yes for cards that were damaged from sticking together.

No, but I reached out to Matt/Parkside on Twitter and he was able to get me a replacement in the mail, same day. Talk about outstanding customer service!

Question on overall future value for women's cards with NWSL and any new USWNT panini cards for this year 2022.

Do you think with the women's soccer cards the US National team product will be the cards that hold value over the NWSL Parkside cards in the next year?

or

With so many stars not on the National team's, Do the Parkside cards look like a better hold, investment?

It seems Parkside would still be lower pop vs anything Panini puts out. Just not sure of value. Thoughts?

I don't buy cards to get rich, I do it for my PC, but I would think USWNT cards will be better, but that can change if NWSL continues it's popularity. My only concern is say WSOC drops and NWSL loses popularity.

Currently, Sophia Smith's Parkside RC is outselling her Panini USWNT RC. I'll let the market speak for itself, but I'm a fan of pack-pulled RCs.
