The Naturel Gwynns that I just shipped out at $60 per are hitting $125.

Naturel
Gwynn

I’m convinced it was mudflap’s big naturals pumping that got that blood flowing

Nope. Still not part of the set.

Hi Tyson! It took an act from God, but I finally received a copy of your Gooden today. It's a stunner as is the rest of your set so far. Can't wait for the next Tyson Beck release!

Again, a complete mistake and I had no idea that link would actually work.

Naturel is one of my favorite artists in the set and one whose cards I own zero of. oof

It really blows my mind that this is STILL less than 25% complete. This has already been an historic moment in hobby history. We will all remember this.

Who knows how much higher. Sky could be the limit. The latter situation is what feeds a frenzy and could catapult an artist even further than the extra $900,000 in short-term profits.
Spot on.

Thank you! Love that consistent feedback. My cards do look much nicer in person than they do in mockups. I'm supplying these at 600dpi for Topps to print so that helps the quality of my cards once printed

Australia is a beautiful country. Went there for a week with family last year. Very friendly people and LOVED Sydney. It’s cool seeing an Aussie involved with this. Keep up the good work!!

It was one thing when this group assessed value from a Topps product when released to a different collector demographic, but now we’re all getting obsessed over the value of a guy’s Money Bear print like we’ve been collecting street art for years.

Im totally at a loss of how Sportscard collectors are going Gaga over picture of a cartoon bear..It has nothing to do with sports..I understand, its all about the money right now.....But Wow,The Corona virus itch is in hyper drive

This Project has some legs. My brother had initially decided that he was going to do a Henderson run and a Thiele run.

Now he's all in on Rochester and Beck too. Suggested he grab a Gooden Beck a few weeks ago, glad he listened

It's pretty fun. I would have probably picked one up if I wasn't stuck in video meetings all morning.

However, it's turned into one of those "look what I have that you don't have"--a mantra as old as the hobby

You're right, but don't let justin80 weaponize the Money Bear card against everyone else - that is not fair to the artist. Just one guy being a brat.

If Blake Jamieson did something comparable people here would be kissing his a$$ about how he connects with his fans and understands the hobby.

I was comparing not having the money bear in a Saladeen project 2020 set to owning a valuable set like ‘52 topps without the mantle.

Good questions. I’ll try to answer from a collector’s position. 1. First, If I am putting this much time, money and effort into putting together player/artist runs, I’m likely to never sell them. 2. If I had to sell for some reason and the potential buyer thought it was a part of the set—that wouldn’t be the right buyer for my set. They would buy elsewhere. There would be others who would be happy with the 20-card P2020 player/artist set and not consider that complete set deficient. I’m actually one of them. I’m collecting Saladeen and do not consider it a part of the set, so I would consider the Topps P2020 20 sports cards as the complete set. So I know those people exist.

The only people upset for missing out on Bear are the flipper group. People get upset for missing out on what they are chasing. So lost profit is a big deal for someone who is in it for that. These artists are selling things all the time on their sites with their logos on it...it’s what they do! I don’t collect everything that has “value.” If Efdot sold a valuable, signed 130pt custom Pokémon card that resembled a Topps Project 2020 card in a one touch mag on his website for $100, I wouldn’t buy it because I don’t collect Pokémon cards. But you can bet, if I was a flipper and got a hit lead on this special card coming out and others were already pumping it, I’d scramble to get in on it because that profit is more important than my interest in the item.

That bear is dangerously close to something my guy Pushead made...
You guys familiar with Pushead's art? Imagine him doing this!
