Right, wrong, or indifferent, that card's just not worth $100 to me. I had the chance to buy and I passed. I could have flipped it I guess but I think it's 99% hype and 1% the value/appeal of the card itself. When the bubble bursts, money bear will be the first to drop. But will the bubble burst? Is this the first guaranteed winning investment ever? Time will tell.

Alan Greenspan sends his regards.
Nah, if it was priced at a thousand, it would have taken a week to sell out. Maybe 2. Maybe never. Hype would have been less. It would have been overpriced. Things can appreciate organically (whether by cook groups or naturally), but if you try to force it without the clout and the demand, it seldom materializes.

Absolutely

Kinda wish he was working with all somewhat whitewashed images. It’s his thing.

All white Jordans that he’s sharpied up and leaves them in the streets of LA for someone to find and keep.

Maybe his personal drop will involved hidden 2020 Cards in some cities across the US?

Narrator: He didn’t

Or just buy 2 of each from 1-60, sell 1-60 and your entire set is free AND 61-400 is gravy.

Lol so why is it worth 1000 now, 12 hours later?

Imagine if Topps makes one special card available to everybody who purchased every card?

The goal is to keep your fans happy and keep them wanting more.

If your biggest fans have to grit their teeth to make a purchase you risk losing them for a short term gain.

Even a used car dealer knows that you don't make your living on the first car you sell them, you make your money when they always come back to you for their next car.

Yes, eventually. But pricing them at a point they’d sell out fast was genius marketing by him. Fast sale at $100 is worth way more to the artist long-term than a slow sale at $1,000. A slow sale establishes that the market values you at or below the price you’ve set. It’s boring, not exciting. A fast sale at $100 shows the market values you much more than the price you set. Who knows how much higher. Sky could be the limit. The latter situation is what feeds a frenzy and could catapult an artist even further than the extra $900,000 in short-term profits.

How many money bears do you think went to his biggest fans? And how many to Project 2020 flippers?

I'll be really curious on the Keith Shore Trout print run. He's def not for everyone's taste, but will the hype just drive up all the print runs.

Are the print runs released prior to the cards hitting the market?

I don't know. 999 were sold. 12 have sold on eBay and 15 are for sale on eBay.

27/999 doesn't seem like too high a percentage.

Yah, I was hoping to get one too. Glad I got the Henderson. But now it
looks like I won't get a chance to get anymore. Some people probably
bought some hoping to flip.

Us collectors are going to have it tough. I just created a youtube signon and subscribed to his videos.
I've never done any of the social media stuff but I guess it might be my only chance now.

For the people saying the Money Bear isn’t part of the Project 2020 set: I’m sure you’re primarily buying for your collection, but you might have in mind a potential sale of a complete set or artist set in the future. What if your potential purchaser considers the Money Bear card part of the set? Maybe he’s collecting the artist’s set. He needs that card too and suddenly your set is deficient because it’s missing THE KEY CARD. The hardest one to find. The Mantle. The Mays. The Money Bear.

Blake said he’s held back a certain number of cards for when he makes his Big Mac cards public (was pw protected tonight). So anyone that missed out will have another shot. Not sure when Blake is making them public.

As you try and pump your recent purchase I’m making a dismissive dice-shaking action with my right hand.

Yes sir! Wait until I get the chance to work on the big players. My previous cards are moving in value but that trend should only continue! Make sure to grab my next few cards before the big players come
