I get it and that’s cool. If had the thousands of dollars I’ve seen dropped on cards I’d be different but I have to be smarter. I have 6 kids and one in/one about to be in college. My stuff is small potato’s compared to the awesome stuff you guys buy/pull. One day I may be able to do that kinda stuff. For me though I have to do what is best for me. I really appreciate the cards you guys post though it’s truly amazing to see.

I have a feeling that .129 will be the low water mark. A series in Coors might do wonders for him.

Your approach is not wrong. Which is why I said everyones approach is different. Some people like to take risks and some don't. I sold some of my Acuna and Soto cards already for more than 100% profits already, so my risk is even lower because my cost basis is way lower. My plan is to keep the best cards (4 or 5) of Soto and Acuna at free of cost (house money) after selling others for profit. At that point my risk is zero.

i would think those that have been active in this thread over the past few months + are smart enough to see the bigger picture. a prolonged slow start would bring a flashing red BUY to the astute collector and i for one would take full advantage.

I'll be selling my Heritage Black Refractor when I get it back from PSA but not because his batting average is weak 9 games into the season. I'd just rather have a nice Kareem rookie.

Im sure he will leave Denver in a lot better shape, stats-wise than he is today.

Last year that season put him on pace for something like... 37 HRs 85 RBIs... thats HUGE for a 20 year old. If he doesn't match that this season... will people move on? Or HODL?

Honestly, I think this will have more to do with if this year's rookie class captures the attention of collectors/flippers. We've had two consecutive REALLY strong years. It's shaping up to be huge with Tatis/Guerrero, but if 2016 repeats itself, the attention will still be all over Acuna/Soto/Gleyber.
