Topps has to love this type of thing, the more guys they can get peddling without them having to do one thing the better for Topps. They are basically marketing the product for topps

Very nice! Markers?!? That is some crazy control I do not have.

I use acrylic paint watered down and then layered, over and over again until it looks "right". Markers though, you definitely need to know what you are doing.

Ha, fair enough! Although through their first four seasons, Markakis had a higher WAR than Springer. So I'm going with that. But yeah, I was just getting at the fact that some people will be waiting a long time for their favorite player to appear in this set, and the waiting could cause more impulse purchases when it actually happens.

I've also been trying to figure out how many players become newly popular enough each year to carry a week. These would mostly be rookies, but could also be someone who took a while to get there. Is a future Justin Turner (who would have been overlooked a few years ago but is more popular now) enough to be the "star" player one week? Probably not. We know they will supplement with retired players, and many could lead the week sometimes. And they will definitely make use of stars who are traded or sign with new teams. But it might not be the worst idea to wait until next year for Trout.

I agree with that logic...and once we get the Machado & Harper this year, then wait for a couple/few seasons before making the new team version.

Are you ordering more than 40 cards in one order? I think that is the limit for the padded envelopes. More than that and they ship to you in a cardboard box which takes longer. My order is still with FedEx in Arizona with an estimated delivery date of April 6.

First double digit sale of Markakis this morning for me. If you would have told me 2 weeks ago before this started I would sell a Nick Markakis card printed to 2,600 for $12 I would have laughed in your face.
