I can't believe that the Steelers are battling between 2 dusty old washed QBs in Rodgers and Wilson. It's like trying to make the team worse. And even funnier, they are making Russ dance like a puppet on a string, while Rodgers weighs his options and makes everyone wait (as if he's the player he was 5+ yrs ago and is God's gift to football)

Jeudy with Wilson in his last 14 games - 48 catches for 625 yards and 1 TD

Jeudy with the worst starting QB's in the league (so everyone always tells me) last 14 games - 78 catches for 1,104 yards and 3 TD's

Jeudy also hates Wilson. Lots of fun videos going around Twitter right now

If Berry is dumb enough to sign him? I might take the year off

Yeah, Jeudy has been one of the lone bright spots for the Browns

Curious to hear your opinion as a Steeler fan, I believe that the Steelers, if they draft a QB, have interest in Jaxson Dart rd1, Tyler Shough rd2, or Will Howard Rd 3. Any of them interest you?

Also a wild card, if it could happen, would you take Brock Purdy in trade?

1. Jaxson Dart
2. Will Howard
3. Tyler Shough

But, completely admittedly, I do not follow college ball like some of y'all.

No interest in Purdy at what he might cost a year and his injury history. I like him, but the Steelers would have to give up good draft capital for him.

Then again, I said I preferred a 41yo QB (Rodgers) over a 36yo QB (Wilson), so what do I know

I don't even think the Steelers know who their #1 QB will be.
To sign Rudolph back as #2 QB tells me that they are either drafting a guy rd 1 to start, or signing a fossil like Rodgers/Wilson, then drafting Will Howard mid rounds to develop

Supposedly, they've made an offer to Rodgers and now they're waiting. Wilson is gone IMO

I see a couple of scenarios:

1. Rodgers signs, Rudolph as back up, Thompson 3rd string. No QB drafted.
2. Rodgers does not sign, Rudolph starts, Thompson 2nd string, draft a QB

I think the real question should be is Mason Rudolph attractive? I really am on the fence.

Incredulous based on the fact he believes Russ is still somehow desirable to any team. So, I think, wrong.

Take me with a grain of salt, I am a Niner fan and a longtime critic of Wilson.

But I think the tribe has spoken here.

I think there are a couple QBs in this draft that would give the Steelers a better chance to win than Rodgers would give you, and certainly more than Rudolph. Would those QBs have some ups and downs and growing pains? Of course, but their skill level at this stage would be an advantage over Rodgers

I do agree, if Rodgers turns his nose up at the Steelers, and they have to go crawling to Wilson, he may be butt hurt. I think he sucks pretty much, so no great loss.

Here's a hot take. They don't sign either of the washed up vets and instead roll with Mason this year and take Milroe in the 4th as a development guy. Mason finally gets a real shot, with the Steelers ironically. If he flops, turn to the rook and determine if he's the guy or if they need to get a QB in '26.

The hot take is that Mason leads the team to 12 wins, second in the North to Baltimore, and they win a playoff game for the first time in what, a decade.

I would be ok with this. No reason to spend an insane amount of money on an over-the-hill quarterback. Have a crappy year with Rudolph, get a good draft pick next year. If the 12 wins thing happens, so be it.

Wow, that is a hot take. No way I see that happening however

For someone who claims "I watch football," I'm afraid your facts are a little mixed up.

In the game you are referencing, Denver got the ball with 48 seconds left on their own 13 trailing by 8 points. On what planet is an 8-point game "garbage time"? Wilson led them on an 87 yard touchdown drive (in 48 seconds) to make the score 35-33, where they failed on the 2-point conversion.

So your top example of Wilson's "garbage time stat padding" was in fact a game the Broncos were trailing by 8, scored a TD, but were a missed 2-point conversion away from going into overtime. Good call!

Now do you see why "I watch football" doesn't really work when trying to support a point? Memories fade over time, as you so aptly proved.

Wilson is more washed than Rodgers that's the reason or at least the Steelers had him in the facilities and realized it...

the steelers are like going to a 3 star Michelin restaurant, but the waiter says sorry we ran out of utensils and you have to use your hands.

JosieD: If you're ok with the helmet size dent in his head that Myles Garrett left him, then yes. If not, then no.

I like all of the takes so far. Adding Rudolph back into the mix certainly helped the conversation.

I have trust in Omar to do something that will ultimately make them better. I have trust in Tomlin to continue being a great leader of men. Unfortunately, not having ANY recent playoff success, has soured most of us Steelers fans. 10-6, 9-7 or 8-8-1 with constant 1st round playoff losses, does not fit our expectations (yes, we've been spoiled). If that has become the 'standard', then the 'standard' needs to be raised.

As a personally certified arm-chair QB, football is easy. We all know that's not reality - football at all levels is hard.

They are both washed. Why would any team be fighting over these two? This is 2025 NOT 2015, there are better options.

There it is! FCG has successfully brought Will Howard into this thread.

Which begs the question - is there a thread on this bored that FCG hasn’t tried to force Will Howard into? If so, I’d likely read that thread.
