Figured it would come out today. Florida law requires drivers to follow lawful orders which includes rolling your window down....and keeping it down. That whole officer safety so they dont become a statistic thing. Damn windows were really tinted too. Based on FOUR officers having to chase him down, Tyreek Hill was driving like a deuchebag. I will say, the officer that yanked him out seemed like he went a little over the top but you have to admit, he wasn't easy on him because he was Tyreek Hill. Again, if it falls within department policy, I dont see an issue with it.

What are you thinking? Fired police officer? I can see that. Protests, I can see that too? Defund the police so there are less out there? That can't be a solution, can it? Rioting where they burn the city down? Hope not but I'm sure someone will incite it. All I know is, if defunding happens, I dont want to hear complaints when a Miami Dolphins WR gets robbed of all his stuff or worse.

I saw the bodycam and I almost felt bad for him for a second. Then I went back and reviewed all the vile stuff he's done since college and got away with because he's good at football and I don't feel so bad anymore

No, I don't think anyone will protest or riot because he's fine.

I think if the violent officer from the interaction gets fired and the PD makes a token apology, that will be all and everyone will move on. If the PD digs in their heels and the officer escapes any punishment, maybe Hill does resort to legal action.

Seems like situations like this the cop goes on paid leave and then comes back. Could be wrong though as I don’t know for sure. But sometimes someone has to take the fall to make people happy so I can see that too.

Very odd
His phone falls out of his hands to the ground. It sounds like he was on the phone with him and is trying to give the play-by-play about what's happening.

It's not difficult. Follow directions. I think the cop overreacted but I also can see his point of view when someone rolls up tinted windows. No idea what they could be doing or grabbing when that happens.

Exactly. For all the cop knows he some drug dealer that is going to start shooting through the window.

No way in hell their union lets him get fired. That would set a precedent that they can fire them for mild excessive force and no police union would stand for that.

i wonder how it would play out if hill said "i will never play another down in this town until those officers are fired" or demanded a trade. maybe it isnt right, but it would put every party in a tough spot and i am not sure with the public pressure, he wouldnt win out in the end

Just saw the video. Absolutely disgusting. That officer was an #@#@#@#@#@#@#@ of the highest order. Literally zero communication other than roll your window down. No attempt to communicate in any kind of professional/adult manner. Then he just keeps it going (reading more of the transcripts). I freaking hate this stuff so much. And yes, he should have rolled his window back down. But you cannot convince me that officer is not an absolutely tool and has not done this a thousand times to other people. I have zero doubt if this was not Tyreek Hill this would have ended very, very badly.

Don't care if the cop "went overboard". Everyone is entitled to their opinion on where that line is, and I wouldn't argue with what they think about that.

As someone who drives a car, seeing Tyreek going double the rest of the cars through this area, I'm really thankful for any steps taken to make sure that this type of action is discouraged and that my life is being protected.

That's all this is. These officers are out here saving lives with their actions. You might not be okay with their actions but they weren't putting Tyreeks in danger with them. Tyreek on the other hand has a history of endangering the lives of others and this situation is no exception.

If you watch closely the cop says "Keep your window down or we'll pull you out".

2 seconds later his window is still down and they pull him out anyways.

Not saying Tyreek was being a model citizen here, but if you can't see what's wrong with that then boy, that tells me a lot about you.

(Also, I think Tyreek is in general not a great person, but that's not the point here).

Yes, this is a bigger issue than Tyreek. I don't think anyone here is trying to say what Tyreek did was great, but the escalation of the situation is just crazy, especially once Tyreek starts to comply. I'm hearing there will be more video of an officer choking Tyreek. Allegedly Tyreek tells the officer to be careful because he had recent surgery and the officer basically calls him a liar and then says "did you have surgery on your ears too?" I mean it's that crap that I just can't stand. Absolute power trip.

I'm no lawyer but I've watched a ton of police videos where this exact scenario takes place. To me that sounds like a lawful order. I'm pretty sure you need to obey lawful orders.

Sadly in those way too many videos where this exact scenario takes place where the officer says keep the window down, and the driver doesn't comply... driver attempts to drive off and/or murder the cop. Either by hitting the officer, dragging the officer, or pulling a gun. All of this is for the officers safety, as well as the other drivers on the road. The other horror stories of those videos is when the driver does drive off and causes a ton of damage, or even worse takes a life.

I have zero compassion for Tyreek here, besides being compassionate towards the fact that he's such a misguided horrible person and something happened along the way to make him that way.

Talk to officers in a respectful manner and do what they say.

Hill did neither before they pulled him out of the car.

But officers don't have to be respectful. Got it.

“Don’t touch my window.” How many times did he say that when being spoken to?

“Give me my ticket so I can go.”

The union already released a statement that the officers did nothing wrong and were following protocol
