Awesome card. I’ve been thinking about those usually over priced cards in antique shops now becoming good (or even great) deals as card prices the shot up so quickly. I’ve got to imagine that many of those shop owners don’t check eBay every day. Nice pickup!

I've definitely thought about looking into a couple 60s Mantles/Mayses etc that I've come across and passed up at a few area antique malls b/c of price, and it's true that quite a few don't check regularly. I picked up a Trout Update RC a few years back when it was "only" booking for $200-500 - guy had 25 bucks on it.

You’d be right to assume they don’t check eBay! I love checking out flea markets/ antique malls for vintage stuff even though a lot of the people find it funny at those places that I’m 22 buying a card of guy who played 50+ years ago!

You are wise beyond your years. While everyone is out chasing retail packs you are hunting for the real deal.

Picked this up off of myslabs for what I thought was a good price. Been looking to add a Williams to my collection and I do not have any 54 Topps.

I have been wanting this card since 1973. Traded a 2011 Topps Update Mike Trout to get it but I am very excited to finally have it coming to my collection.

Wow, awesome way to start off the year guys.

Hope to join this again later this year. Still taking a break from buying (after selling a bunch of stuff too last year).

Who knows, maybe I'll buy graded too. *gasp*

Musial RC. I'm focused on low-grade centered this year. Is it just me or is eBay feeling especially crazy the last week or two?[IMG]

It’s not just you. Things have been hot lately and Hank’s passing out more spotlight on postwar vintage cards. His stuff has been completely insane, but a rising tide lifts all boats. I made a big purchase yesterday but need to take a break for a while and see what happens.

I love the Musial. I sold my 48 bowman's awhile back. Not going to lie. I miss them. Lol.

That's an awesome Musial RC! Great pick up. The 1948 Bowman Musial is one of my favorite cards.

My latest pick up is memorabilia based.

Hank Gowdy (Boston Braves legend) game used bat. It was returned to the Louisville Slugger plant on July 5th 1923 for a reorder. PSA authenticated as well.

Only two players used this model of bat during this time. Gowdy and Shoeless Joe Jackson.

I'll be visiting his grave site when it arrives. I went to Cy Young's last year.

It has been a fairly slow mail week but I’m excited to add these rookies of Moses and Walter!

Thanks I appreciate it! It was actually the first time I had seen a Walter rookie in person and had to grab it!

Have been looking to add one of these and was happy to get it for what I thought was a great price at auction on Ebay
