Search eBay for 2016 heritage errors. There are several others.

this thread is exactly why I can't open Heritage - fun to find a random $50 error, but after a while, they all look like errors/variations/sp to me. Kuddos to those with the attention span to open case after case of this stuff!

HadWayTooMuch: Make sure to look for action variations and color swaps. there will be 2 colors per case, and 11 action variations + 2 rookie variations.

Should also get about 6-10 gum stains, 1-2 wood grain / smooth backs too.

Those both can be hard to detect if going fast.

you probably will find something but 2 cases that is tough
errors have always been 1 in 6+ cases
and colors are 2 per case, but I have had several that only have 1, BUT often my color swap was 2nd card in pack for some reason

the wood grain/glossy back are 1:2 cases, so you may have missed it but also may not have one, which would stink, although some only bring $10-$20

either way, have fun searching, always nice to find something

Yeah definitely take a good recheck of the cards after the break, I found a color swap, gum back, and wood/glossey just by doing a double take

Wow, I must have lucked out with my 4 boxes. I got 2 colors, 2 gum stain, 1 wood grain/glossy back, 2 autos, and a refractor hot box. I guess I can't complain.

Thanks. I found the action variations, the red backs, most gum stains (only found 11 or 12) and wood grains, but only 1 color swap and no errors.

There has to be another one somewhere. I went through all the known errors so far, no luck.

I posted this in the Box Breaks section, but I think I found either another Action SP or a Throwback SP. Still haven't seen another one.

I have looked at every "checklist" I can find, and they all list 25 action SP's - but none for Franco. It appears on the cardboardconnection site, but only because I e-mailed it to them (their checklist now has 26 subjects).

Could it possibly be another "Throwback SP"? The stars dotting the "i"s are red instead of blue….

Has anyone else seen one of these? If so, put me out of my misery, because I'm starting to think this may actually be quite rare.

It looks like you have yourself a nice card, there are no others on like this!

That Franco is a throwback. They wore those uniforms in June against the Cards in turn back the clock games.

Thanks guys! Even if it is a throwback, there are several copies of the other Throwbacks on the secondary market already... wondering if this one is rarer, or maybe just none have surfaced by chance.

Selfishly hoping for the former

I was going to send it in for grading... would Beckett have the accurate information to properly identify the card at this point?

When there's time, yes. Can't give this much time to all products, though -- Heritage gets the time because it's clearly generating good traffic.

When it's a heavily collected release, Buzz will try to dig in and detail more and do larger galleries.

The signatures Topps uses for the facsimile are generally copied from their signed contracts. You'll see a big difference for most of the players.

Unfortunately, it's just a really badly centered card. Were the rest of the cards in the pack like that?

I saw that. I would be shocked if it's anything more than a miscut.
