Yes, very hard to purchase boxes at $700 and break when most look like this. My last two were quite similar so I feel your pain.

Never rip after the A's suffer a four game sweep.

Ouch, that's a rough bunch. The Willi could be a sleeper though. I swear Dwight Smith took the place of Robles and is double printed on the refractor sheet. I just see him, Means and some other player more consistently than anyone else.

If you happen to want to move that Willi at a decent price I'm interested!

Arch was able to locate the Mookie for me, I'm sure his connections could find it for you as well .

Side note, it bothers me that the individual who pulled it did economy grading. . . Likely won't see it until 2022 at this point.

They were both located

Similar to the Yordan pulled by Houdini, I don't think we will be seeing any of those for awhile.

The Super just popped on the PSA report. PSA 10. Good luck!

Kinda going back and forth on what's available in the Wiffle Break versus Supers available on Page 280. Long shot for sure though.

Well, I just got my order from COMC that I bought off eBay. I purchased three flashbacks refractors and each of them had an issue. I expect a few things wrong including minor refractor lines but when they go thru the players face, I cant deal with that. Another had what looked like a finger nail mark along the edge. Sucks.

Imo, do not buy from COMC, I never received any mint cards from there. Those cards are likely sellers non-graded piles.

I am not advocating buying or not from COMC but I have gemmed and made thousands from raw COMC cards. Maybe the higher value cards are rejects but the <$25 cards I don't think many people scrutinize before sending off.

This has been my experience as well. As long as it is not a key card of a big name rookie, COMC stuff seems to be stuff dealers don't want to bother grading or listing themselves due to time/cost constraints rather than poor condition. Most everything I've gotten has been in appropriate condition for the price with a lot being in readily gradable shape.

About 4 months ago, I posted about pulling and grading (oops) a damaged Trout silver refractor, and you all suggested sending it back to Topps, so I did...

Just received a replacement! It's the same, but... a little different, and I'm not sure what to make of it. All of the other all stars--refractors or not--that I have pulled have had some surface texture, in the form of dimpling, horizontal lines, and what looks like a raised line traced around the player's silhouette. The dimpling may be a printing artifact, but I thought the other lines were a purposeful part of the design. The replacement I received has none of that; it's completely smooth. Below, a BGS 9.5 that just sold with the texture highlighted as best I could, then my card. Is there something wonky with my replacement, or nothing to worry about?

Card was clearly made for replacements after the fact on a different printer. I'd get that thing slabbed asap before time goes by and Topps can't confirm authenticity.

Yeah, those angled lines are supposed to be there as part of the design. The recessed dots are as well when lines meet the border. The extra ones on those angled lines dont seem to effect anything. Maybe it's a proof or made after the original run? I know they ran out of certain players and sent crap in return. This is different though.

I noticed a dimple in lower right hand corner of the Gold Robert I pulled a month or so ago, and confirmed with via the photo I took that it was like this when I pulled out of the box. Would that be something to inquire with Topps about or is it just the way it is?

I think it's a normal part of the printing process. The above BGS 9.5 has tons of dimples, which did not appear to affect its surface grade, so I think you are probably sitting pretty with your current LouBob :-)

What's the latest on box prices? Are they consistently at $750 yet?
