This one is drunk on haterade. Let it go dawg. The guy is just hitting his prime. If you think Stockton, Malone and Barkley will be forgotten you have no grasp on reality or basketball history.

As one of the top 100 players all time or so. Not everyone can be in the GOAT conversation, but guys like this will be the next tier down.

Except for Adams and WB, no one on this team should be starting in the NBA. I've counted at least 8 missed layups by OKC. Awful.

I fell so so so bad for RUSS there talking about it right now on espy how hard this is for him. He has 0 help has to do everything. John barry is saying it that why what he is doing is even more impressive. So bad the guy is unreal he has no help has to do everything and they are still 15-9. He really has 0 help no one else can dribble the ball that is on the court with him it so bad. The GM needs to make some moves unless he wants RUSS to kill himself.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, Russ isn't a MVP IMO. He positivly affects his team to a certain degree and that's it. He commits too many turnovers, ball hogs (yes he needs to not hogg the ball as much IMO), and tries to go full blast every damn play. calm down, slow down and take a breather because all or nothing isn't condusive towards winning a season or game to game scenario.
Russ doesn't have much help, but he does have a solid squad and they're 15-9. That's great IMO and he's leading his team far more than anyone else on his team. Plus going vs portland isn't easy, they're the best home team in the NBA so I didn't think they'd compete anyways.
OKC needs another wing player and i'm still a believer OKC didn't get the better side of the Orlando trade. Look at dipo, serge and then see what the rookies are doing. This was a terrible trade and i said it from the beginning that OKC would regret it. Dipo isn't a star player and the rookie looks like another white guy on the court.
Westbrook had his chance with durant and it's over, plus serge is gone. His whole team vacated the building and now he's left to try and scrape up pieces to form a team that will exit in the first round of the playoffs.

I don't think anyone here is under the illusion that OKC is going to win a chip with this current roster.

On the other hand, it's a lot of fun to sit back and watch what this guy is doing.

Just because Barry Sanders never got to the Super Bowl doesn't mean he wasn't amazing to watch. Just because Ted Williams never got his ring doesn't mean he isn't one of the greatest hitters of all time.

It's be nice if we could sit back and enjoy the things he does well without constantly hearing about the fact that he has some holes in his game

I'm curious who you think should be handling the ball instead of Westbrook? Have you actually seen this team? They missed at least 10 layups tonight.

Another smart guy did you even watch the game yesterday his teammates blew at least 10 layups, and when he came out of the game they scored 2 points in 6 min. Who exactly do you want to be shooting. His teammates are missing open 3s and layups i mean at some point i would say F#%$$k them to and start shooting. But let me here what you think instead of just saying he bricks and give no explanation but it cool, guy gets doubled and triple teamed he not gonna shoot great every game he gets no easy shoots cause no one could set him up no one in the NBA would be doing better with the supporting cast he has in fact anyone else would be doing worse except maybe Lebron that is it.

And another thing all the experts on ESPn and NBA TV agree with me and others in this chat that Russ has 0 help and that what he is doing is even more impressive. I mean did you guys listen to john barry last night he said about everything you could say about his supporting cast without calling them bums basically. So ill trust what they see instead of the blowout haters and genius on here who just want hate and make stupid false statements. But it cool as long as 95% of the basketball world understands what Rus is doing is even that much more impressive because of who he is playing with. Ill let the other 5% hate, cause that all they could do cause everything they say is false.

Sure, I will let you here what I have to say...

Hear are the stats of the last 2 games on ESPN that I did in fact watch on Friday and Tuesday respectively...
8-25 (0-7 from 3) and 7-19 (2-5 from 3)

so that's 15-46 and 2-12. 32% and 16%

The guy can't shoot!!! Westbrick

He was a brick when he had good players around him. Great player, but he can't shoot bruh

Not a big difference, but that's actually 15-44.

You do realize everyone, including WB know he's cold from the floor right now? This is not news to anyone. To be fair, it's pretty hard to get any good looks when you're being double teamed on almost every play.

But let's focus on that instead of the historic run he's making, while leading a garbage team to 1st place in their division in the high-caliber Western Conferece.

Russell Westrbook has been in this league for 9 years. Do you know how many months in those 9 years he's had a 50% shooting percentage?

One. February of 2013, he shot 50.2% for the month.

He's not a shooter. He's never been a shooter and he's not cold from the floor now, or w/ KD, or with KD and Harden ... it doesn't matter. He's always been a guy that can drive, create offense and score a ton of points because he takes a ton of shots. But if you need a shot from the elbow, or from long range, you would want 200 current NBA players shooting before you picked Westbrook.
