Westbrook in straight beast mode again...

23 points in the 3rd quarter alone... 1 assist away from a triple double and still have the whole 4th quarter to play.

Wow

bradical 10-28-2016 09:04 PM

Not sure how the dude has only a 18.9% usage rate in tournaments on DK today.

11-28 so far...awesome

Love this lol

Gaudy stats and struggling to put away the worst teams in the League.

Not impressive.

Andy5 10-28-2016 09:53 PM

47 points from 42 shots

Kingofkings1281 10-28-2016 09:57 PM

Love watching him play, but those 43 shots remind of Kobe in his prime. Sometimes it's a good thing, sometimes it's a bad thing.

Ferg1945 10-28-2016 09:58 PM

If you take 45% of the teams shots... u should score a ton.

asujbl 10-28-2016 10:03 PM

Kobe's prime or his last game?

But according to everyone that posted, he's not impressive.

bulljh 10-28-2016 10:12 PM

Isn't this expected though? We all kind of knew the Westbrook was going to shoot a ton with Durant leaving. Shooting almost 46% of your teams shoots is a little ridiculous though.

If you straight up expect 50 point TD's you might as well give up basketball. Your expectations are insane.

Chris P 10-28-2016 10:14 PM

Love the hate here...."not impressive"..who else outside of Olidipo is supposed to score here? Singler? Roberson? "Worst team in the league" Where exactly are the Thunder supposed to be? Right now the Warriors are struggling with the PELICANS of all teams. I'm sure they'll pull it off but man it's unreal how Russ gets crapped on.

drobfan8 10-28-2016 10:21 PM

I never get why people have a big cry after some negativity.

Westbrook is supposed to make his teammates better, he doesn't do that.

A lot of people actually don't want to see someone just go iso all game.

I'll take Kawhi over Westbrook any damned day and his stat line.

bigcwd2000 10-28-2016 10:21 PM

I enjoyed watching him play. He really hustles his butt off on the court.

6celtics33 10-28-2016 10:21 PM

I think it's impressive and we all knew this was coming but I still see a season ending injury by January. He can't do this everyday. He's going to kill himself. Not 50 point triple doubles, I just mean 45 high intensity minutes the way he plays.

drobfan8 10-28-2016 10:24 PM

Oh and PHO and PHI will be the worst teams in the League. If you need those stats to beat them, you're probably not gonna make the playoffs.

And most people would have OKC making the playoffs before the season started. Hell, Mike wilbon on PTI has OKC in the conf finals. And that guy has an MVP vote. Scary.

I do expect him to shot better than 38%

I'm not crying, I just think it's ridiculous to dismiss him. I'm sorry he's not Kawhi, but man you act like he's some scrub and when he does great (I know the shooting numbers but still, who else is supposed to stuff on this team? He doesn't make his teammates better, Olidipo has been struggled since getting there, he played better tonight, but where's the offense supposed to come from?) Yes..Kawhi is the better all around player, I don't disagree with that one bit...but you totally dismiss him like he sucks. It's ridiculous. You can have negative criticism about him, that's fine, but when you say it's not impressive because it's against Phoenix..it's just like man..he'll never get credit for anything.

Well, I'm a realist and this team is what it is...possibly a 6th-8th seed im my opinion. I don't think this team is going to compete for a championship. And he needs those stats, because that team isn't that great offensively.

rdleifriaf 10-28-2016 10:30 PM

Westbroook is doing what he needs to do for his team to win right now. While he should have deferred more to the more efficient Durant, he is now the THE guy on a team bereft of scorers.

Nique used to take a lot of criticism for the number of shots that he took, but he was never on a team that never really had another scorer so I always found that criticism unfair.

Exactly...even Olidipo isn't a great scorer..this team has basically no 3 point shooters either. And the season is young. Should the Rockets be losing to the young Lakers. Should the Warriors be struggling with the Pelicans, which is basically a one man team? It's early, OKC needs to adjust too, they lost a league MVP and one of the best scorers in the league. That's not a big loss to adjust too?

Never said he was some scrub. I've had him in fantasy for the last 4 years.

He lost me when he was running the team 2 years ago and got his numbers but couldn't win games. That's not impressive.

He's taken it to Philly and Pho so far, instead of getting his bigs involved. Kanter is a 20 pt guy, Adams will get you 10, Dipo should be near 20, Westbrook 30 and the rest should get you 20, so enough with the bs, "who else will score". That's a flat out excuse.

Look, great stats, we all have seen him do that before, but he was up against weak guards. I'll be more impressed if they can beat some decent teams.

Ummm, GS are up 16 currently.

The Rockets were on the road to LA.

OKC struggled to get by PHO at home.

But this is not uncommon in the NBA, we all know this, early season results are volatile.

Like I said, not everyone wants to see one guy go iso 50% of the time down the court, basketball is a team game after all.
