Slow Sunday at my local 2nd Ave (thrift) ... only picked up a denim jacket with Trans-Siberian Orchestra logo embroidered on front and large design on back, a Reebok jacket with Detriot Red Wings logo on front and NHL Stockholm Premier patch on sleeve, and a Honda/Fox BMX pants

Oh .. and my U2 large framed print sold (for a 3rd time) ... buyer paid and I delivered the box to post office today ... I assume today or tomorrow I'll get another request to cancel the sale. lol

They are designed to translate donations into CASH so it does not matter who buys them. Some do give clothing to people who need it, but in the grand scheme it takes cash to run these places and that is more important than anything.

For those of you who are selling on instagram, what tips would you have for someone like me whose trying to branch out into that line of selling? I know it was discussed earlier in this thread but I cant find it. Thanks!

Just start posting your finds, put in relevant hashtags and you build followers up. I'm convinced some people see my post and then click on my eBay to buy it. After a year and a half I've made a large number of my hat sales through IG, I just happen to have a lot of hat people and then got a shout by a bigger account from a guy I helped ID a logo for him.

Yeah since I started my IG, my sales have went up pretty significantly and Ive been getting a lot more traffic on eBay, which is always nice. IG has been a big help for me.

I wish you could trace how many went through your IG to your eBay to buy. I've tried to use the eBay analytics reports but it doesn't show IG at all.

What if you use a bit.ly link? You should be able to track clicks to your store that way

Also, I just joined Instagram if any of you want to take a look (I don't have much posted yet): https://www.instagram.com/smurphy025/

Sold my Gary Anderson Vikings Jersey for $150 today, stoked. I had been fending off crappy $40-60 offer for the last year.

Listing a bunch of great stuff I picked up yesterday.

Got this 1987 Indiana sweatshirt, it's in amazing shape given the age and the letters and stitches of the football are raised.

My father started flipping clothes from Goodwill, etc. in our area, I'm amazed at some of his finds. Entertaining thread!

Going to post this in basketball general as well...but a cool find.

The wife is in a "Im not going into the new year with all this clutter" mode, so she cleaned out her closet. It left me 2 huge 40 gallon bags of clothes to drop off at the goodwill drop in the parking lot of my local grocery store. While I was handing in my bags, a young couple behind me was unloading some stuff including a University of Miami cornhole game and an basketball signed by multiple people. As much as I wanted the cornhole game too, really thats wanst a good idea if we are in a out of clutter mode, but before they handed in the basketball I asked if I could have it. They said sure and when I got home, a little research showed me that it was a 1999 University of Miami team signed ball. 2 future NBA players on that team were John Salmons and James Jones! I sure hope that picking up pre donation items isn't frowned upon like some sort of "pack searching" situation, but it was a neat item to pick up for free!

Pretty cool! I remember Johnny Hemsley was a stud for them, and I remember Mario Bland from that team as well.

I put up 8 of the big dogs I got in my hat haul for auction. Have 15 more of these to sell, but I'm going to see how well they do at auction. If they only do okay then I'll have to put the rest at buy it now.

If you want to follow. Had 15 watchers on the Lightning hat within three hours of listing.

If you see these, even if they're beat up, they're usually worth picking up.

So, I just found something kind of interesting for $1. It's a brand new, never been used, double-sided poster of The Interview. This is the banned movie about the North Korean dictator starring Seth Rogen. It's perfect and original. It has the "Fall" logo on the bottom. It's definitely not a reprint. I know reprints, one-sided copies, go for next to nothing. But, I've heard that the original double-sided posters fetch a good price. Figured it was a no-brainier for $1. Anyone know anything about the value?
