true, but Rookie Cup is a good thing to collect. if you think about it, he will have far fewer rookie cups vs RC logos lol

There is another 2018 TU SSP on eBay. I don’t understand how sellers don’t take pics with the card centered in the pic. The seller has the pics taken on an angle. It only creates questions from prospective buyers.

Does anyone have an idea of the estimated print run of the Update SSP?

Don't know the exact print run but here are the odds-

1:9 Jumbo and 1:45 Hobby for the standard short prints, and 1:71 Jumbo and 1:273 Hobby for the super short prints.

Aren't there 200-300 in Hobby alone? I thought the number was 400-500+ according to calculations in another thread about no print run (serial numbered) cards.

Just logically, there are 4-5 Black /67 per Hobby case and there are 300 in the set

There are 1.5 SSPs per Hobby case and there are 25 in the set

So in just Hobby alone the Black is at least 3x as rare

Based on the clear odds, it would be implied that there were 172.6 of each SSP inserted into hobby.

I'm taking it Clears were not available in Hobby Jumbo?

Black odds in Regular Hobby alone would leave you with 300.39 of each SSP but of course they were in both Hobby & Jumbo

If you take just the Hobby Vintage odds at 1:223 (/99 with 300 cards) you get a total of 6,623,100 packs meaning 970.41 of each SSP

Of course odds differ from each product, but Vintage was available in every release correct? Same with Pink & Blue in every product right?

I went through the Update thread. Brent said 50% increase in jumbo production from 2017, which was ~2000 cases. So 3000 cases for 2018, SSP at 1:79 packs.

91.1 per SSP + 172.6 in hobby = 263.7 print run

So probably in the 250-275 range. Whether it's 200, 250, 275, 300, it's low.

300 Card Set Vintage /99 being at 1:223 Hobby
300 Card Set Black /67 being at 1:102 Hobby

50% higher print run yet more than 2x as hard to pull, this would mean a lot of retail made?

I think there will be a bit of mystique around the card because not everyone will know right away that they have the best card in the set and therefore will not protect or may even eventually discard the card.

Blacks are hobby/jumbo only so that would explain the difference and definitely factors in retail.

This just arrived. Pics on ebay don't do the Topps Dynasty cards justice. The gold really pops. They are beautiful cards in hand...I believe this is his first and only rc logoman auto to date.
