Hurts but to be fair it was the highest raw sale at the time...i remember specifically one guy telling me "lol..good luck getting anything close to what you want for that" bc i countered his $250 offer. The 'funny' thing with mine was that I had domestic only. If the card is below $50 I don't sell overseas as the postage is $25. The person who bought it was from Austria! Clever dick had used an Australian PO Box. The card was flawless. PSA10 job.

That's what you get for writing a guy off. I freely admit that in March this year I was convinced that he was a hobby bust. I probably should be grateful I didn't sell all of his cards then. I literally had a plastic tub full of base rookies. I've sold 2/3 of them off, have just graded the better stuff, and I'm not selling another card - not even his Archives inserts.

With Vlad Jr. struggling right now, could Ohtani not play another game and still win MVP. His performance tonight against my Tigers was pretty amazing. Would not be surprised if his cards see a nice bump across the board.

That's what baffles me the most.

If this guy isn't a unanimous MVP... voters should have their rights revoked.

He faces the Orioles the next game... so it's likely he will get his 9th win before Sept 1st and if he does a 10th win is very very likely. 45+ HRs with possibly 10+ wins as a pitcher.... if that's not MVP I don't know what is.

Angels aren't making the playoffs... so no reason to "save" him later in the season. Full throttle Maddon... full throttle

That was as close to a perfect outcome as I could've ever imagined...maybe if Miggy had hit #500 and the Angels had won 3-2... I'm getting up at 4:45AM to drive 8hrs back to Virginia and almost skipped the game tonight but I'm SO glad I didn't.

I won't know what to say until I hear the sketch cards guy weigh in... His take on MVP voters only counting the batting stats because the pitching stats are already covered by another award remains the single worst stubbornly bad argument I've ever read on this board.

That I understand when it's a pitcher up the MVP award. But when a hitter is the pitcher as well... his pitching stats should 100% be included in the MVP vote.
