I realize you (unfortunately) have no shortage of visual aids for the casual racism of postwar America, but this is the 1969 conference portrait if you want to use it in class.

In other words, this is how we were depicting Native Americans while Neil Armstrong was busy walking on the moon.

I enjoyed the anthropomorphization of all but the heads of the animal mascots.

50pp.? Nobody gets that anymore. Pretty much every journal is capping submissions at 10k words or less.

Otherwise, bravo!

That's basically a guarantee. No one will be able to focus on anything longer within about 5 years.

It’s what like 39 to 25 or 26 Nattys for the SEC. I say let them have this one.

Wow.

All it took was a Week 1 7-point loss and we’re already hearing SEC apologists going back to the conference’s half-share of the title in 2003.

I’m happy for them. They won a regular season game.

Brian Kelly’s LSU teams were never actually good, it was the Jayden Daniels show. They’ll suck this year and next year and he’ll be fired.

Never liked that guy after he threw his ND players under the bus at a postgame press conference. Kelly and LSU are a match made in, um, heaven.

Thats a hot take? With college football being basically a participation and join the playoffs league they have a shot just as much as the #1 team to still make the National Championship This team will get better as the season progresses They always do

A middle of the pack SEC team losses and the Blowout troll is pretending the SEC doesn't have the #1 team and 4 of the top 6.

Pace yourself.

There are going to be a lot more SEC loses you’ll have to fansplain this season.

Along with my Sun Devils, I root for Texas.

Screw everyone else in the SEC.

I'd be just fine with every rival losing by a hundred each week. Conference pride is basically communism for inSECure sports fans.

I think UGA is the best team in the nation.

The rest of the SEC proved why they schedule cupcakes instead of power-5 (power-4? power-2?) opponents. After UGA, they went 0-3 against ranked teams and 1-3 against the Power-5 - with Vanderbilt being the team with that win.

Just not true. Having a loss this early in the season is going to hurt their chances for an at large bid. Sure if they win the SEC they're automatically in, but if I am LSU I just don't see that as an even remotely realistic path to the playoffs.

Last night is going to hurt them big time if they are hoping for an at-large bid while finishing the season with 3 losses instead of 2. They now face the daunting task of having to go 3-1 against Miss, Alabama, A&M and Oklahoma (not to mention avoid any upsets against the rest of the schedule). If they won last night, they could probably have afforded to go 2-2 in those 4 games.
