Hi, I don't come into this forum often, and don't buy signed books often, but thanks to the information on George W Bush signed books, I bought both of them just now.

I do have a general question to ask.
What do you all do with these signed books?
Do you basically keep them "untouched" as collectibles?
Or, actually go through / read the books? (but with extra care due to the autographed nature?)
Or, is it common to cut out the signature and submit for grading/authentication? I think I saw that mentioned several pages back.

I'm actually interested in the contents of the book itself, in this case the portraits by George W Bush, so that's part of the reason why I'm asking, and for future reference in general.

I like books, so I just collect signed books. Some people cut out the autographs and make custom trading cards with them.

Bookends has also listed this for a live signing/shipping. Please note these could be signed as Cassandra and not Elvira, but you never know. Her last book was all Cassandra. Premiere makes note it will be Elvira, other places I haven't seen that.

FWIW - I went to "2nd & Charles" (owned by Books-a-Million), and signed books were on the racks without fanfare in the Biography section.

I just received "A Fine Line Between Stupid and Clever - The Story of Spinal Tap Autographed by Rob Reiner" from BAM and the tipped in page is blank! There is no autograph!

Anyone else have this issue?

I hope this is a mistake and they replace it for you but if they are all like this then it makes the title of the book even better!

Charlie Sheen’s memoir is out. I’m a fan of his work and his self-destructive ways. Should be a good read. Plus the autograph? Count me in.
