Just thought this was interesting and that I would share. I have a 2018 Topps Fire Ronald Acuna base auto I bought on ebay 5-6 months ago. It's a sticker auto, but I wanted a licensed Acuna rookie auto and this was a very affordable option. I went ahead and sent it in to PSA and it got an 8 which is what I expected, Topps Fire is very condition sensitive. Yesterday I was just curious so I checked the POP Report and to my surprise I realized it was a POP 1, not just the only 8, but the only one graded period. I checked BGS and only 2 have been graded. 1 8.5 and 1 9.5. I just thought that was crazy that it was so low pop when everyone was grading Acuna stuff in 2018 & 2019.

At release, 2018 Topps Fire was not seen as a popular product (as compared to other more main stream 2018 brands) and not open in abundance...then by the time the players started to produce, the box prices had climbed beyond what was considered a good product to open. Getting any base auto odds is 1 in 29 packs. 67 auto list...so getting an Acuna (or an Ohtani...no Soto autos) was 1 in 1943 packs, roughly 97 collector/hobby boxes (assuming no SP even base autos). Of course, in hindsight and compared to today's box prices/hit ratios, the product would be a no brainer to open to chase an Ohtani or Acuna auto/parallels and Soto parallels. Congrats on the pickup.
