I feel lucky that the 2 Ermsy Goodens I bought for $38 each finally shipped on Saturday. I knew something was up when all the Ermsy Williams cards I had sold at the same time. Now it's at 100. I bought 20 from Topps. Luckily I was listing 4 at a time, so still have 8. Sold the other 12 for $48-60. Probably hold the other 8 for now.

Out of all the artists as someone who isn't a art afficiando I do enjoy Blake's stuff. I think it had the most potential. That being said I may flip a few Jackie's after the next jump

To make up 127 presells of $17 or less, when buying multiple.
Not many presellers are preselling 127 and then buying 200, most like 3 extra.
If they did, they wouldn't need prebuyers to finance their orders.
They could just buy 50 and sell them when topps sells out AFTER 2 DAYS.

As an ebay seller who does 200-400k or more in sales yearly., Not exactly sports cards, when a listing has a lot of sales, it's watched... someone later comes back and see's they missed out and buys it at the higher price. The listing also has a big history and track record... it'll show up as " 100 sold " and the price will say 29.99 and the non informed buyer.. and there are millions, will just pay the 29.99 even though the same card is listed on ebay for $22 It's sorta like best match rating, people will pay more for #1 best match vs the price + shipping lowest item. Even if sellers have same records or top rated status etc.. It exploits the less frugal, and there is plenty of those people to exploit. Just look at all the people buying wax and ripping it.

Hopefully getting another Don C so he can catch up.

Awesome. Good to hear. The only card I'm worried about is an Ermsy Trout AP /99 that I bought for $325 on eBay. Everything else I've gotten or is shipped.

So exploiting is a good thing???
And what does any of that have to do with selling 127 presells and then selling the last 3 at $40? And then ending auction because you are sold out.

Okay, so it took me until the start of week 9 to realize Topps is smarter than I thought.

I was thinking how the M-F release was confusing me. In fact, with the 48 hour close and PR release they are still getting us 7 days a week on their site.

They also timed the first release date on a Wednesday which I thought was odd, but that the fina cards for a 2020 product get released on 12/29. Had they released on Friday March 27th the Ichiro PR may be at 800 and the set doomed to fail.

I still have a lot of problems with Topps. That is an understatement, but whoever was in charge of the process on this project needs a couple promotions.
