I think beating the $2 price hike on bulk for members might have also increased subs. I sent in 52 cards simply because of that.

I never submit 25 plus cards at a time anymore, so economy is my joint. Both mine now show scheduled for grading.

So now every grading company has these vending machines except BGS? TAG/PSA are branded with their name. CGC seems to be a collaboration with a company. Will not be for me, but for many the gamble will be worth it. Just another hobby thing that is here to stay.

Put your money in and pull an Ohtani 50/50 card. Weee!!! I swear the whole sports card industry has just become gambling each step. Random team in a break, Random cards hope for a big pull in packs, send to grading hope for a 10, now slot er vending machines to hope for a good graded card. This is on top of everything with the actual live sports is now centered and advertised around gambling.

One tip, if you submit bulk ... dont make it 25 cards at least go over that amount. They have a 25 card holder box, so if you go over 26-27 etc you'll get the double sized box. Which in theory would allow more crush proof damage on one side of the box, meaning it could take a huge hit on that side and effect next to nothing or 1-2 cards.

Never had a damage issue, but figured Id point out.

ps. I got like maybe 6-8 9.5s on my last order so the 9.5 is far from dead. referencing chat from a few pages back.

I see a couple of nice updates from CGC.
Quick-submit - Just put in the number of sports cards and TCG and send. Don't need to list them all. Bulk and Economy is the same price. I am guessing they do some automated scan and identify process anyways, so our data doesn't matter anyways.

Custom DC labels. These look really cool. I don't have any DC cards. It does make me want to go get an old batman card and send it for these labels.

I have some DC CZX I wouldn't mind getting reholdered with the new labels. I tried to enter one and the label option didn't appear as the news release indicated. May be a few days behind on cards?

and worth noting, the custom labels are always licensed. So while not completely custom, you can choose from an array of the available selections.

I am leaning toward buying a couple of autos or wardrobe cards from the Gotham TV show for a custom Batman label.

The custom labels are showing as available now, but it looks like the only option is the DC shield on the front and SM, BM, and WW on the back. Not worth $18 per card for me to reholder. Maybe for new submissions.

CGC must be working weekends...I checked my most recent sub this morning and it was still SFG. This evening around 7:00pm I got an email for a CC charge for $8.00, which four of my cards were autos, so that made sense. Checked the status and it was in GEI this evening (Saturday).

Can you crack and resub a serial numbered card to the same company?? Or will they look and just grade it the same grade it had before?

Had a card with a 8.5, and I think it's because the surface was smudgey,

You can with some Companies. I know you used to be able to with CGC, but im not so sure now. And it could be you might be able to if the serial is big enough that they've graded enough that they arent going to look through all.

However I had a /10 I tried 3 times and got the same grade 3 times.

Not sure how their set up works, but if they view other ones graded as any type of reference I could see how a low numbered could be noticed quite easily. (due to scans)

But if its a /299 card and 15+ are graded I doubt they would need to look at all 15 just to figure out a grade for the card.

I kinda doubt they enter into the system any numbering of our cards cause if so why not add that to the label or something then.

Yeah, mine is an auto #/10
So I guess it would be pretty easy for them since it's the only one they have graded

But I like their slabs better, even if PSA is preferred by most

I'd still try it if you improved it. grading cost is low enough

Ive had finger print smudges on cards before as to why I did as simply wasnt wiped off.

I would call them and explain what you want to do.ask them if it was surface smudge....if so tell them your going to clean and re sub......a numbered card to 10 they graded before they will see that, and you crack it they may get a case of the ass thinking you altered it in some way, and just send it back ungraded.

Most of that “pokecrap” as you stated is more desired than all the sports base crap that is being submitted to other companies. In fact, without the “pokecrap” The most dominant grading company would not have a 3 month backlog. Let’s see! CGC TAT for bulk 30-35 days, yes I submit to them. PSA TAT for bulk 3 months or more.
