When he had runners on 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out you could see a switch get flipped. He was dealing to the next 2 batters including a K.

I happen to have a 2018 Chrome update Ohtani RD HMT32 refractor to /250 that I pack pulled myself. It is a fabulous looking card and I am so on the fence sending it in for super express at $300. I see the last one sold for $1900 and I think it has a great shot at a 10 but you just never know. Has the Ohtani market hit its peak? I have a bunch of hmt1 and hmt32 base I’ve slowly been selling off ungraded as well as pinks. For reference the last HMT32 /250 ungraded sold for $750.

It’s a bummer that I decided in February to send in a 50 card submission of 2018 Sotos instead of the Ohtani’s as those cards seemed to have flipped in value. Thanks guys

Not really (IMHO) when compared to others...everything Sho-Tani has gone up, so there is that, but I think those would be the first to fall when things regress. It still seems third or fourth tier on the desirability ladder.

Live & Learn, right??? I'm in the same boat here... sent in most of my remaining stash of 2018 Soto & Acuna before the shut down, but none of my Ohtani. Will be lucky to even see those back in 2021!

I won't use another TPG'er, so I've just been selling off all my grade-ready Ohtani's raw on eBay. Been sitting on them all since 2018, so still all good, profit is profit... even if it's significantly smaller profit!

All his RC cards will have value but these are near the bottom of the list.
If you are going to go Panini then I would stick to numbered parallels or if base then go with the iconic rated rookies in Donruss Optic. I recently sold all of my Panini base Ohtani RCs that weren't Optic so thats my chosen Pajama horse.

I haven't looked at any of them but we're still clearly in the "mining" phase of the Ohtani market's ascent. All it takes is for someone to post a cool looking card that most of us weren't aware of and the race is on.

I agree though that if you're going Panini, you can't lose with Chronicles and Optic. The Flawless/National Treasures stuff has already exploded, almost on basketball levels. Wish I had grabbed some of that when I was buying Soto/Tatis/Vlad stuff for cheap.

I think you should get $2000+ in a 10 provided that Ohtani doesn't get injured between now and then.

I have that same card, I'm going to send it to HGA or one of those faster/newer grading companies.

Thanks for the answers guys, I was just getting all my Ohtani cards together and didn’t realize how many diamond kings I had, but the good thing is I also found a bunch of Topps and Chrome Ohtani stuff so it wasn’t a bad searching mission.

Send it super express. The turn around time is fast and that card will likely do over 2K if it PSA 10. Unless there are surface issues a 10 is highly likely! Congrats.

There are a ton of new graders right now and it's not nearly as predictable.

I can attest to this. I've still got $3500 in bulk subs that I got out before the shutdown that I would love to have back ungraded and free of charge.
