2021 Marvel Metal X-men

Open a few boxes worth in the last 24 hours - did very well - no Greens but finally, at long last, my first Purple FX 1 of 1... Also finished my first 5 achievements. Got the Toad Printing Plate Booklet - so if any of you are Toad superfans, you know where to find it.

All are available - think these only for sale - as I'm just trading up for Greens for my personal collection at this juncture. But all are on epack right now - obvs.


The 2 Deadpools came out of back to back 4 pack purchases. That was a nice surprise.







And the big one.... The Red Omega #100/100 of Wolverine #69...

Just hit a wolverine blast furnace from a 2 pack break. What was weird was the red glow didn't go off when I hit it. Hit a jubilee the other day and it did tho.

Anyone know how that is determined?

Weird on the Jubilee - her blast furnace and not her Geodes? Wolverine BF doesn't because it isn't an SP - just a regular. Red goes off on SPs and bigger hit inserts (Gems, Cuts, Buybacks, PPs, etc.). Grandiose High Series it goes off since those are SPed, low series Grandiose don't get it.

Thanks for the clarification. Maybe I was mistaken about the Jubilee then. I thought I heard somewhere that it goes off when you pull a card that has pack odds greater than the amount of packs in a box. That must of been incorrect.

It looks like it says that on a lot (all?) of the X-Men Metal cards now. This is a new development....

Not to sure what the "stored remotely" thing means as far as how fast items get to you. I have placed two shipping orders with this set and both got here in 5 days from the date I requested shipment. Last one just got here today, but I can't say if they'd changed them to "stored remotely" before I requested or not(or if that'd matter).

I don't know if this is the same but COMC uses this language on their site and they define it as:

Items Stored Remotely

Some items listed for sale on COMC are not are not currently stored near our Redmond, WA headquarters. For example, cards that are consigned through our Canadian processing facility may take a month or two to migrate down to our US headquarters. While the items are still in Canada, we can’t ship them as quickly. Such items are labeled as Item Stored Remotely and can take 4-6 weeks longer than normal to ship. We don't currently allow expedited shipping for these items. We recommend using our Standard or Registered shipping options if you have any remote items in your shopping cart or shipment request.

Again, I don't know if this means that remote to UD or remote to COMC or what but it seems to be a way to let you know that there is migration overhead.

I've never had anything shipped that said stored remotely I suppose. I've seen it, but yeah, never shipped anything.

What's odd is it seems like it's totally random. I just went searching through and it looks like its just various cards from various sets. No clear "this set is stored remotely or isn't" I suppose. Some blues look to be, some don't. Haven't gone nuts checking but that's just what I've saw on a quick search.

Lastly it looks like all the "high end" that I searched through doesn't state it's being held remotely. Odd situation!

Not so odd. COMC has spent the last two years building out warehouses in various parts of the US. The indication that a given item's storage is not in the main Redmond WA facility is simply that. It's not unusual.

I'll still call it odd and unusual.

These cards aren't cards that are sent in to COMC or something of the like. The cards in question are purchased off another site. On that other site, there is no mention of your items being held remotely OR that there could be a 4-6 week wait on things you're purchasing.

The "other site" you are referring to is COMC too. All of UD epacks is processed by COMC.

Yup, I know. And ePack makes no mention of what I'm talking about. That'd be an odd and unusual situation.

If I'd spent say 50k on X-men Metal and went to ship my stuff home and it told me I'd need to wait 4-6 additional weeks, I'd be upset.

I'd say this is more of an UD issue than a COMC issue. But if this could or is going become a common practice, I'd imagine between the two companies they'd need to make mention of this where you're purchasing the actual cards. Not on another site that some folks(new) might not even know is involved.

Going back to the epack/stored remotely convo, does UD post tracking when your physical cards are shipped? My order says "Completed" but no tracking and also says "Ready to begin shipping" right below that?
