Haha, I honestly love it. People no longer automatically buy Topps products so it gives an advantage (extra time) to those who've been around and can identify deals when they do pop up.

Im also in for 20 with fun coupons. I am scared of potential cancelations on multiple orders of the same addresses, payment methods, IP addresses etc.

Does this worry others who have ordered 20-100 to have all of theirs canceled? I saw with brooklyn people were pinched and I was pinched on 4 single orders (max qty was 1) for Bowman Sapphire in May or June.

What did you tell me exactly? That bots would be all over this? It was the easiest and fastest checkout I've ever had for a topps.com online exclusive. We were both wrong. You said 20-30 minutes or less at $150. It was close to an hour at $130. The main reasons it sold out were the lower price and the limit of 10 per account. You can't read all the people in this thread that bought 20-50 each? Thousands sold to people just in this thread. Would they have bought that many if it were 3-5 per account at $150 per? Of course not. It would have lasted many hours if not all day at $150 per box at 3-5 per account.

People that buy 20+ of a drop are not that different from bots.

Both reduce the chance that consumers get a fair shake at buying a newly released product. Which is the core of the complaint against bots.

Wow, stepped away at work for 2 hours and these were already posted up and sold out. Would have been nice to buy a box or two, but I’m seeing here all the people who bought like 40 boxes, just like all the bots, flippers, breakers, and other hoarders they used to complain about. Hope they suck just like all the other Topps Chrome releases.

Well, no, no card in any of these products is a true rookie card of either of them, but that's beside the point.

Ok, more napkin math. 25k boxes based on my assumption of 2.5 parallels per box. That's 800,000 cards. 62,500 are parallels and 574 are autos. Call that 63,000. That leaves 737,000 to be base cards. 330 checklist, gets you to 2,233 print run per card.

So, yes, probably roughly double the print run.

But what "didn't make sense" was putting them in regular Sapphire in the first place. As you pointed out, they didn't have base cards in the underlying products. So why shoehorn them into the set, with brand new images and all? Those cards were nothing but a cash grab, as the whole product itself generally seems to be seen as well.

For the people who do consider the flagship (and Chrome) Update cards to be "true rookie cards," Sapphire Update is a parallel of those true rookie cards. For those who don't, it's still the parallel of their first flagship (and Chrome) base card. Like I said - even with roughly double the print run - I can see that meaning more to people than "first Sapphire" when the products were only a month apart and the "first Sapphire" cards bear no connection to any of their other cards. We shall see.

Well for me since this is same image as TU for Julio this will be the one I buy. Topps update image is the Julio cards I personally will focus on. Also didn’t buy any boxes of this will focus on singles
