I’m referring to your hot takes. Your Nico takes, your Schwarber takes, hell all of your Cub takes lol.

So you don’t agree with someone’s opinion they’re ignorant?
Oh boy you’ve got a lot to learn when you grow up.

Hot takes?

My Nico take was accurate : nice player but I don’t see him as a main offensive threat. He was on a hot streak first 10 games hitting almost .400, did you really think that was going to be the norm? (lol). A .265-.285 hitter with limited pop is what you'll get on yearly basis.

Schwarber: I haven’t made a post about in years. Was it the comment that he was the main cog in getting them the WS title during the 7 game series or that I said he!d hit 40 hr’s the following year? I was a couple years late on that one

I said Bryant would rebound from 2018 season as his shoulder was a mess and should have sat out the entire 2nd half of 2018.

So I’ll leave it like this :

Relax!, we’re rooting for the same club and obviously passionate about it. I’m good with my takes as a older guy who spends a ton of time around sloan park.

Have a good day

This is the same reason Chili Davis "had to go." The lack of accountability placed on the players is crazy. Every single member of that bullpen has failed so many times. You're telling me it's because Joe brought them in at the wrong time every time? Do your fricking job! I agree not all decisions have been great but it's just so easy to point the finger at one guy instead of 30 I guess. Not directed at you specifically just overall.

It is just his responsibility to make sure everyone is doing their job and ultimately falls on him when they don't. Any way you look at it, this team has under-performed the past few seasons, and there needs to be change. If they do keep Joe then they need to get players that will perform for him because the players they have right now are not.

This is a hard spot to be in. When Joe came in, he was praised so much for getting these young guys to play together. This always works when you win but when you have a good team and they loose, he has to pay the price.

The expectations were high after a World Series but the reality is Championships are hard to come by.

Joe is at his best as a manager when he's given a bunch of chess pieces and a board. He got a young roster with a very fleixble setup where he could move people around all over the place.

Now he has a roster of veterans who more or less need structured roles to reach their potential. Maddon's style of managing is no longer a fit for the roster. It happens.

I thought the end of the 2018 season was rough, but this has been a nightmare. I’m super disappointed.

Hate to say it, but Cubs are a distant third in the power rankings of the Central. Brewers have been absolutely lights out, and the Cubs continue to $&@! the bed.

Brewers are doing what the Cubs should have done ALL year. Beat the garbage teams.

I feel like as a Brewers fan you don’t hate to say it and you find any reason possible to post in this thread.

Oh no, not a Brewers fan in the slightest. I just call it like I see it. I’ve been a Cubs fan my whole life. I was in Chicago when they won in 2016. It’s just frustrating to see what has happened this year. Like it was mentioned earlier, last year was rough, but this one is worse.

2015 NLCS
2016 Champs
2017 NLCS
2018 Wild Card
2019 No playoffs
I'm not even mad about missing the playoffs this year, I'm fortunate I got to see my team win a WS and they had arguably one of the greatest 4 year stretch in baseball in a long time.

As strange as it is to say this Go Cubbies this weekend end your season on a high note and give the Brewers the chance to take the division.

And that’s it. I’m eager to see what the roster and management will look like next year. Spring can’t come soon enough.

Yes people have been a little spoiled. OK a lot but man it's been fun. 2016 was something that no fan ever expected to see in their lives and was awesome. It was going to end some time but just imagine if the Cubs had lost game 7. I shudder to think what I would be like today.

The offseason promises be very exciting.

Some quotes today from Theo via Twitter:

Theo Epstein dismisses speculation that he could be interested in returning to Boston and running the Red Sox again: “There’s nothing to that story. I’m here. We have a lot we need to work on to get back to the level we’re accustomed to. I’m invested in that.”

Theo Epstein says there’s plenty of work to do with the Cubs. Not planning on leaving his current job as team President.

Theo, before today's game: “The thing that gets you excited, even in the face of this adversity, is waking up and trying to build the next Cubs championship team.”

Definitely alot to clean up and improve upon for next year. The starting rotation is aging and bullpen is an absolute mess. I wish I had all the answers but they have a few bad conteacts and a few who will need to be paid. With many other NL teams on the rise, it could be a bit before this gets fixed. There are pieces here that can help win now, but no more margin for error in the moves the front office makes. Let's hope we get a team that can beat the weaker opponents, win on the road, have a bullpen that gives us some confidence, and hitters that come up with hits in the clutch -- all of this was sure missing with this 2019 Cubs team.

I honestly don't see them winning another game. They have packed it in. At this point I'm okay with that, just get healthy for next year. Last week was a nightmare though.

I maybe in the minority but I feel like Maddon should be able to stay as long as he wants.
There are ton of horrible managers that are not still managing and get contract extensions.

That doesn't exactly sound like a ringing endorsement.

Maddon is 100% gone. Joe was worth every penny while he was here, but it's absolutely time for a change. I am honestly shocked they won tonight. Rizzo getting hurt was the nail in the coffin on this season, KB getting hurt was absolutely the end.

This is why Ian Happ needs to play every day. Consistent playing time. Can be streaky though, but 7 game hitting streak w 5 HRs and 12 RBIs is kinda nice. I didn't think he played well under Maddon's utility scheme.
