Yea I got pissed off at the whole at bats the next inning, that’s no way to pick up a teammate who lays it out on the line.

Other teams would have been inspired, these guys not so much. Maybe they're just too dumb to understand.

I like their odds better against him than Sale.

If the Ray's didn't own us this weekend I would be more excited. But the prize is Tampa and we have no clue. So, whatever.

The hopefully good news is we Yankee fans are in a win-win situation; if this sorry group gets summarily bounced like most of the last 20 years, there is a decent chance we see some change in the roster and organization.

Boone and maybe some of the rotten players (Gleyber, Gary) could go.

I pray for Cashman and Gallo to get lost, but the former's rotten roots have run so deep over the years, I don't harbor any delusions he will ever be cut out like the cancer he is. No matter how dominated he gets by GM's spending a fraction of the resources. And the latter has that one remaining year of club control. It baffles me to contemplate Hal, and how he doesn't realize that if Cashman has assembled just one division winning roster in nine years, maybe it's time to get a fresh mind in there.
Good to see another member of this forum gets it about the absolutely horrendous job Cash has been doing all these years despite the vast amount of resources he's been given. Not only the piss poor job he's done constructing this flawed roster but he hasn't been able to hire the right people at every level of the organization. In the front office, the scouting dept, the player development staff/coaches, everywhere. When your team keeps getting dominated by a team with 1/3 of your payroll (who lost their ace in the off-season and then their new ace 2 months into this year), you're doing something very f**kin wrong. When the teams in your division are getting better and you only go 36-40 against them with the second highest payroll, something's very f**kin wrong. When you have young players on your team that are badly regressing, something's very f**kin wrong

Bad news is that now that they've limped into the WC game, even if they lose in Fenway, Hal will try to act like at least they made the "playoffs" again and give Cashman yet another pass. He and almost everyone else in their entire organization will probably be back smh

They have been owning everybody except the dodgers for the past 2 seasons so it isn’t all that bad. Sportsfanatic what are your thoughts on the Mets organization.

Joy, we get to watch one playoff game. I would give it 50-50 odds they beat Boston and then get slaughtered next round.

The bats were pathetic in that Tampa Series. Every series for years now, the Yankees make every Tampa starter appear that they all are the reincarnation of Cy Young.

Just remember, Tampa Bay got BETTER after trading Snell, letting Morton go, and losing Glasnow to TJ.

That is annoying.

This. Its almost hard to believe. They also had like 10 pitchers on the IL last year too. Basically half their bullpen missed the postseason. And a shame no one goes to games.

So many pessimistic Yankees fans in here, look at the bright side at least this franchise that everybody is bashing hasn’t had a losing season since 1993. I know it could be a lot better but just look at their crosstown rivals the Mets would you rather have them to root for.

Yeah and Cashman did find alot of guys..Urshela, Holmes, etc...they did get Cole, Rizzo, I mean you can't say he's the worst..cmon...

Show me someone else I am sure you can poke holes in their track record too...

Gleyber sucks and its Boone and Cashmans fault? Ok.

Now before the pitchforks come out yes of course management needs to do better. And take action with Gary and Gleyber, get another SP and balance out this lineup

But as spuds says look in Queens---I'll take my guys here thank you. Lindor and those babies can suck it.

Yes, but the Yankees franchise is known for winning World Series. These guys have watered that down to become the 1990s Braves.

Don’t forget Tauchman for Peralta that is one that everybody including myself forgets. For all the praise Tampa and Toronto get Tampa has never won a World Series and Toronto until the last couple of years were doormats. Heck the Yankees could’ve been like the astros and sucked forever and stockpiled high draft picks and then won a tainted World Series over cheating speculations. Boston has had it better than the Yankees recently but would you trade places with them as history pertains, at least the Yankees never had a drought that lasted 86 years. There is so much positive with this franchise, I know not recently but so many accentuate on the negative it’s not even funny. There is so much more that can be said but I will save it for another time.

I have heard for 5 years now from the sports pundits how the Blue Jays were going to displace the Yankees and Boston as #1 in the AL East and win multiple World Series. I'll believe it when I see it. I think this was the best season they have had since that prediction was made.

I'm not sure what happened to this team to have the offense drop off so much this year.

Judge and Stanton were healthy most of the season and played up to what we were told we would always see.

D.J. turned into the bum the pundits told us we were getting when he left the friendly confines of Coors Field.

Gary and Gleyber sucked it up and they just need to go. There is no room on this team for lazy, crap that don't run out plays, swing for the fences and strike out all of the time, and can't block balls behind the plate. And they can take Gallo with them on their way out of town.

Gardy will be gone next year.

At this point, I'm ready to bring Volpe up to play SS and just see what he does.

I wish they would re-sign Rizzo if he'll take like a 2 year deal and see if Voit can gold down the DH job if healthy.

Wrong one World Series with 14 division titles, that is not a good comparison.

Sounds like you need a new team to root for.
