Angels reliever Ben Joyce hit 105.5mph tonight striking out Tommy Edman (after a couple of 85mph sliders).
It's the 3rd fastest pitch (after two from Aroldis Chapman) recorded since they started tracking them the current way back in 2008.

GOAT? Does that make him better than Nolan Ryan? Asking for a friend?

Ed Cabreras start today is like when the girl you’ve had a crush on doesn’t give you the time of day all year then makes it a point to write something super sweet in your yearbook on the last day of school.
She’s such a tease with the 94 mph changeup.

Re-emphasizing how good of a young rotation the Mariners have and day to day they still can’t hit a lick and said rotation being wasted.

Re-emphasizing that certain young players that have pitched less than 100 innings of baseball aren't on the same level as Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson or Sandy Koufax...you know them All-Time Greats.... that would apparently be in the bullpen if they played today...just cause....

![]() I’m no fan of spackle but figured I’d add a bc auto to my RC stash. As expected, he’s flashing just enough at the end of the season to keep me interested.

Richie Tenenbaum-style meltdown from Cole today. That was odd.

Eh Giants tie it up in 9th and are putting Doval in the 10th instead of letting Walker go another inning. Doval has been terrible while Walker lights out.
Wussification and slave to analytics? Doval starts off with a 3-0 count gives up an immediate hit letting the go ahead runner in. Makes 0 sense pulling Walker for Doval. Incompetence at it’s greatest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm batting 1.000 with the pitchers I select to do well in the MLB and then get injured. Alcantra, McClanahan and now Glasnow.

The other option is study their ball movement, a hard dropping sinker can be tossed at 85-90 so a pitcher doesn't need pure heat. Some ex-pitchers tend to collect those that use the Sweeper and Knuckle Curve(Alex Cobb is a great example) ![]() I think the ouch this season is Kody Funderburk & Drew Rom At the moment, I'm sticking to: Matthew Liberatore MacKenzie Gore Nick Lodolo Jackson Rutledge Slade Cecconi Mason Miller Tanner Bibee |

Great start by Ryan Pepiot last night
6IP 1H 0BB 12K 23 swinging strikes on only 76 pitches too, which is flukey but very impressive nonetheless. Glasnow pitched well while healthy this year but the Rays are looking pretty good on this trade considering how cheap and controllable Pepiot is going forward. They should have a good core rotation going into next year with the return of McClanahan, Baz, Pepiot, Bradley, and healthy Springs and Rasmussen.
