Hey guys. I believe I had seen this brand mentioned here before, so I picked this up. Any idea what I should be asking for it?

Most buyers do not care what affect it has on a seller. Read these boards enough there are some here that will or slam a sellers DSRs for the smallest mistake. I got slammed once because the seal on the mailer was coming loose. Know of one seller ho got negged because the shipping label was crooked. Many times sellers are the worst buyers too.
i know im going to get low ratings..you sell enough, its going to happen. its still really frustrating though. i have to think alot is because like someone mentioned..most buyers dont even know how much it actually hurts a seller. its been said before but nothing is more true..no feedback is good feedback. sad thats what ebay has become

Nice Steve! I found 4 Lexmark Ink's at a couple local Goodwill's a couple week's ago. Bought em for $3 each and sold for 12 or 13. Not too much profit but it all adds up. Thanks to Addison because when I was a thrift noob, never would of thought of looking at this stuff.

Awesome stuff! When I first started out, I would have never thought ink would sell so well (even expired)!

Yeah man, slowly I'm expanding my brands and stuff (ink, board games, etc.) I look for and it's adding up quick. Over $230 in sales in the last week and I haven't even listed anything since that before I went to the SA last Wednesday. Going to list all of it tonight hopefully!

Do you guys have fringe websites that you keep an eye on for sales? I have two or three that I check at least once a week that have paid off big time. I'm talking about non mainstream sites that sell stuff like skater clothes, punk clothing, etc. I recently picked up 4 pair of women's faux leather skinny pants for $4.99 per and sold them for $40 each.

Also just picked up 10 pair of brand new in box VANS shoes at $15 per pair. Already sold three pair for $75 cash. Only $10 per pair profit, but $10 x 10 pair is $100 profit for about an hour of work.
I need to find me a fringe sports card site where I can make $10 profit per card x 1000. Woo hoo that sounds like winner winner chicken dinner :P

Where do you find out about these kind of websites?

There are all kinds. Just search for skater or punk clothing and a bunch will pop up. Just make sure to investigate them and make sure that they are legit.

Default cd's

Do any of you get into the music CD world? The goodwills all have nice sections of CDs, i'm wondering if you guys have had good luck finding and selling cds. If so, what type/genre/etc move and sell well? Looking at ebay, prices are all over the board, some look like there would be a small margin, some bigger. Thanks for any info!

Would anyone mind checking out my auctions and critiquing them? They're not doing so hot, and I feel like it might be because I'm still using my eye from 2003 when I used to do this all the time and have not adjusted to 2014.

In my opinion, your pictures and descriptions are pretty weak. And unless I have an item that I hope for a bid war and there is a crazy demand for it, I avoid auctions at all costs.

If somebody wants to buy an Indians jacket, they want to buy it now. They don't want to wait 5 days and hope they win it.

Yeah what's the word as I just picked up a lot of 125 used CDs. All genres from the 80's to 2000's. Heck I assume just get rid of it all in one shot.

I think you may need a little more wording in the description. Even if you just bullet point or hypen some one liners. Look at my stuff for example. I don't really get to drawn out and do try to say the key points in as little words as possible. In a sense I think this should help instill buyer confidence.

Do you think it helps that you put a photo of yourself in all your listings? Serious question

I have wondered if taking items that would lead to minimal profits and listing them as auctions would help with the sell through rate. Like low end Ralph Lauren polos or sports tee shirts, where the profit wouldn't be much anyways. I am probably just overthinking things. It's the engineer in me. lol

Auctions could lead others to view your other items. If anything that may be enough to have some auctions going at all times even if for stuff with low profit margin.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the stay away from auctions. Often I find items sitting with BIN/BO and I know the item should sell for something. I think when you set a BIN people sometimes just hit the "watch" button and move on. I have sold many items, both ways, but more often than not I will get more in an auction than I would buy it now. For instance a couple weeks ago I had a Ohio State nike dri fit shirt sitting and sitting at BIN for 9.95. I relisted it on a Sunday for the 9.95 assuming one person might give it a bid. By the time it ended I had 4 different bidders and it was up to over $25. There is no real reason for this. The last shirt that looked the exact same sold for $12 before mine. Bottom line is it doesn't hurt to try auctions at all. Overall my auctions net me more profit than buy it now, but everyone is different and it depends what you pick up.

My seller account shot up around $20 today. After checking the breakdown it didn't have any numbers. So was wondering if it could be my basic store subscription automatically going through or I shipped 3 Fed Ex packages through eBay recently which were not instantly taken from my Paypal balance?
