Those packs are completely different. The pack ptper is referring to, people are asking thousands.

Those are almost* definitely not the actual sealed pack. Here's the image from one of the listings:



It's just someone who doesn't know what they're doing, or hopes that buyers don't know what they're doing. No reason at all to think - from what the seller has provided, anyway - that they actually have one of the hit packs.

I believe the invoice is correct but the photos don’t show the special parallel / image variation pack the poster provided.

The Topps Now card is correct vs a pack of 50/50 ‘set’ that is being delivered after Christmas.

Likely ebay seller is hoping to get $70 for a guaranteed $10 base Now

Edit… Yeah I see a $13,000 BIN or best offer

The invoice is for the wrong Now card (that was the 40/40 card) .

But agreed, not the right thread for Now anyway - this isn't a 'general Ohtani 50/50' thread, it's a 'the specific Topps Ohtani 50/50 product' thread.

I have a question though...for the "base" bundle on the left that comes in the plastic case, are those ONLY base cards and the only chance of pulling a #'d card/short print/parallel/auto is if you receive a separate special pack like you did?

Or can parallels/SPs (but not autos) still be in the plastic case of base cards? I ordered some 6-card Topps Now All-Star set this summer and ended up receiving a Skenes purple /25 parallel, but it was lumped in with the rest of the regular base cards in the plastic case....no separate packaging.

Everything on ebay is now 400+ per box. Wonder how long until BO goes higher.

I'm a fan of this release and would like it to be successful, but $450/box feels insane to me. And does not make me feel good about the viability of being able to complete a base set

Prices would usually fall after the newness of a set wears off....but as we've seen time and time again, you cannot underestimate Ohtani.

JMO but I think the further away from the actual accomplishment we get especially if another player achieves it as well the singles prices will drop significantly. As usual it's all about being patient and not caving in to FOMO as there seems to be a lot more printed than we were initially led to believe. That said box prices likely won't ever see a significant drop because like 99% of products in today's world it's all about the low #'d and autograph lottery tickeys. But in the long run nobody will care about the non numbered base stuff which likely settles in the $3-$5 range.

So in the end it may take a couple of years or another player proving it's not as unachievable of a feat as it feels now but singles prices will eventually become more palatable for the common man.

Boxes are of no interest to me personally, but I will be compelled to put together a set. Hopefully some of the degenerates will need to pay their credit card bills and need to move some bulk lots .

I think as most releases go, if you're willing to wait 3-6 months after people have cards in hand you'll be able to get a set for * relatively * cheap.
