Hillary Clinton definitely got a huge boost from their successful convention. People might still not like her a lot, but having Barack, Michelle, Biden, and Bloomberg on your side vouching for you, it's going to help. Those are powerful figures who's opinions I trust. Things are not looking good for Trump. His path to victory comes down to having to win PA, FL, OH, VA. It's quite possible he loses all 4, let alone wins all 4.
Trump is maxed out at about 40-43%. Unless Johnson/Stein scoop up 15% of the vote, Hillary will win easily. I'm guessing 51-43. 6% goes between Johnson/Stein which is a pretty bold guess, considering how 3rd party candidates have done the past two decades. I remember in 2012 the Ron Paul fanatics were seriously believing they would have a serious impact in the election. Didn't even get 1%. So if 99% of voters vote for either Trump or Hillary, it's going to be a laaaaaaaaandslide!!! Shouldn't have picked the one candidate that people dislike more than Hillary. |

My issue was with people stating as fact that Hillary was a criminal when she categorically was not and is not. They were wrong to do it then, and are wrong when they do it now. This is a big part of the "no way forward" I'm talking about. But keep laughing now while you can. In my opinion, you'll be doing a lot of crying come election night, even more than usual. |

As stated moments ago, when you have nothing left but pointing out autocorrect typos, you just as well hang it up. Anyways I've lurked around here for some time and thought I'd test the waters. It didn't take long to tire of the shallow waters, I think I'll leave the kiddie pool and find some adults to converse with on this great big internet. Bye bye kiddos. Astro, on the other hand, needs a tutor in basic English, especially if he wants to talk about stupidity on display. How can he possibly think that garbage is going to fly here? People who choose their words and form their sentences haphazardly often do the same when formulating their ideas. Congrats on white knighting for someone who can't even compose a simple sentence. |

Those were not autocorrect typos either. There is no machine yet invented that could've fixed the broken sentence you wrote. Read the entirety of my posts, and you'll see that I don't go after grammar normally. Your writing was so substandard in the post I noted, it deserved the special attention I gave it, especially considering what you were saying. The lesson: Don't call people stupid in a post that is itself a mishmash of nonsensical words. Your surrender is hereby accepted, after 31 of your posts too many, but whatever will your brethren do without you? You were one of the best they had. (As I said, no way forward at all.) Lurk on, astropop... Last edited by jdandns; 08-01-2016 at 06:27 PM. |

The polls were extremely useful and accurate over the last 2 elections. Not so much individual polls but tbe averages were good predictors.

Trump is legitimately a psychopath. I've never seen anything like this from a Presidential candidate. He is now attacking a fire marshal and blaming it on American politics that the fire marshal would not let more than 1,000 people in to a building that is deemed a fire hazard if there are more than 1,000 people. He literally is acting like this is the government trying to attack him. It's insanity at its finest. But he knows his supporters. They'll believe this nonsense.
----------------------------------------- "He ought to be ashamed of himself. They turned away thousands of people," Trump told supporters when he kicked off his rally. CNN could not independently verify the number of people who were turned away from attending Trump's campaign event Monday in Columbus. But the Columbus Fire Department rejected Trump's accusations, insisting it was simply ensuring the event's safety by keeping the crowd size below the 1,000-person capacity for the venue the campaign had agreed to rent. "All I can tell you is the venue's set up for 1,000 people, and I think there was just a big misunderstanding is what it was," Assistant Columbus Fire Chief Jim Cannell told CNN after the event. "There was a thousand people in here and once we reach capacity we can't let any more people in." Trump teed off on the local fire marshal prior to taking the stage, quickly corralling a throng of reporters into a nearby hallway to complain that thousands of his supporters were being denied entry "purely for political reasons." "They said in this massive building you're not allowed to have any more than a thousand people. And that's nonsense. We could have had four, five, six thousand people. They've all been turned away," Trump said. "It's a disgrace." "That's politics at it's lowest. You ought to check it out, but it's really politics at it's lowest. C'mon let's go have a good time," Trump said. Trump's criticism of the fire marshal came just three days after he was equally critical of a Colorado Springs fire marshal who also cut off entry to a Trump campaign event due to capacity restrictions. "This is why our country doesn't work," Trump had said Friday at the Colorado Springs event, using the fire marshal as an example of government bureaucratic ills. "And then you wonder why we're going to hell." Meet Trump's latest political enemy: Fire marshals - CNNPolitics.com |

My man Warren calling Comrade Trump out. Good luck insulting Warren about being poor Trump.

She was part of the Obama administration. Here's a handy dandy recap o' that for you: ![]() They'll be saying the same stuff about President Hillary Clinton, even though it didn't work against Obama. The Right Wing scaring its own shrinking voter base into line is literally all they have left. No. Way. Forward. |

![]() After a couple long days of work I'm just catching up on things. Here is my overall quick take on this. I feel very fortunate and blessed for being an American citizen, and I am very aware how our differences in politics hurts all of us either personally or by policies implemented by party . Nobody discussing politics really wins the debate especially for an event that hasn't even taken place yet. Trying to discuss with somone that doesn't share at least some of your views just leads to arguments and skewed opinions. Many times items represented as fact turn out to be fiction for both sides of the argument. And the opinions represented as fact can be easily flipped one way or another depending on which side your on. As an independent I know I'm basically throwing away my vote away with Johnson however voting Trump or Hillary isn't an option for me. There is a media double standard in our country that is quite troubling and I hope that gets addressed going forward for the sake of both parties. |

Wow, Trump supporters are sick people. A mother with a son in the military asked Mike Pence what he thinks about trumps attacks on the military and the Trump crowd started booing her. Yikes. That's some sick people. Pence handled it great though. Like a normal person with a soul.

Trump is unhinged right now. Tweeting like a mad man. Called Hillary the Devil, attacking CNN like a psycho. This is the guy over 100 people on this site want to lead the country? Lmao, that's scary.

Trump already making excuses. He claims this election will be rigged, lol. How any grown adult can vote this little child in is beyond me. But he admits himself, he loves the poorly educated.

Trump on a rampage. Fires two campaign staffers. Most likely because one of them told him Russia hasn't invaded Ukraine, lol. This is an absolute clown show. Couldn't write comedy like this if I tried.

Wow, Trump must be intentionally trying to sabotage his own presidential campaign.
He was asked what would he tell Ivanka if she faced sexual harassment in the work place. His response: "Find another career" https://www.google.com/amp/amp.usato...?client=safari This is the guy you want representing you and your family. Yikes. |

The Donald, "clarifying" today his baffling response to a question on Sunday that indicated he didn't know Russia had already invaded Ukraine:
"I know, two years ago approximately. It was taken during Obama’s watch. So when I said, ‘Believe me, Russia’s not going into Ukraine… the person said, ‘But they’re already in Ukraine,’. I said, ‘Yeah, that was two years ago.’ You want to go back? You want to have World War III to get it back?” Man, just reading that hurts my head, but the gist of it is that Trump would prefer to appease invading tyrants rather them give them the punch in the nose they deserve, making him a modern day Neville Chamberlain. World War III is not always necessary, Donnie, to address a problem. Have one of your staffers you haven't fired yet look up what "sanctions" are and explain what they are to you. Disturbing, but still comical given Trump's tortured English. It's like our own "Astro The Lurker" is the Trump staffer who wrote that gem out on the card for Trump to read this afternoon. How is the Wharton School not utterly embarrassed that this man holds one of their diplomas? I wonder how much Papa Fred Trump paid them for it. |
