Not falling for this one.

Houdini is begging for people to get whacked by the ban hammer

deansayso 07-19-2016 09:39 PM

I'll start things off.

Why are we always stuck voting for the lesser of two evils? Do people really have no faith in third or fourth parties? If I tell someone in voting for Gary Johnson they say they would too but it's just throwing their vote away. Really?

I've never seen Libertarians pull more than a single digit percentage of votes, and the most they accomplish is to throw an election. Virginia, for instance, has it's current Dem governor because the Lib candidate pulled enough votes from the Repubs to allow the Dems to win. IMO Hillary presents enough of a threat to the republic to support the Repub candidate. If Libertarians garner enough votes to throw that election then history will judge them.

dbackschamp2001 07-19-2016 09:56 PM

I'm voting for the Baconator for president.

Ephland 07-19-2016 09:58 PM

It's depressing that Republicans have to milk the 2nd Amendment cow so much. The right to own guns will never be taken away. It's like when kids think being under the covers will protect them from monsters.

The monster isn't real.

I still think this thread won't last.

Is a right on paper worth anything if it is completely untenable in practice?

jdandns 07-19-2016 10:13 PM

If nominated, I will not run.
If elected, I will not serve.

(But please elect me anyway.)

Ephland 07-19-2016 10:16 PM

I guess that depends on the legal standing of the document. Which, in this regard, seems pretty solid.

LoveItCards 07-19-2016 10:17 PM

Who wants my opinion on this subject?

jdandns 07-19-2016 10:21 PM

Our country is a giant lawn.
Politics are the upkeep of that lawn.
Mow that lawn, sir.
Mow it hard.

Dr. Ben Carson says that people "need to rise up and take America back."

Couple of questions:

Where is America currently, who do we need to take it back from, and how will we know when we have it back?

That's hilarious considering the entire process around the rule of law (as it is practiced now) is essentially based off of who you know and who you are.

awz50 07-19-2016 10:31 PM

Soooo can we not vote in Trump?

That would be great....

There is too much government for one. There needs to be welfare reform. Manufacturing and industry need to come back to the U.S. There is plenty more but that is a good start. I know it doesn't answer the direct question of "from who" but you get the point.:D
