It seems like a few of the Acuna cards in the auction are stalled out. There is no way the super sells near the current price, plus we all need it to go much higher so Junior gives all of those cards away!!!

The auction house game is completely different than ebay. If you have a bid in, there is zero reason to place another. It's all about getting initial bid in and then waiting for extended bidding. 59 PSA Aaron was sitting at $5000 or so a couple of auctions ago. It stayed there until extended bidding. Ended at $40k ish. Not saying it will happen here, but it's way too early to tell. The surprising thing is that there are 8 or less bidders. You have to throw a bid to qualify for extended bidding. I bid on stuff all the time just to have a chance at extended bidding. Got in early on the PSA 8.5 Aaron in this auction as well. The 39k bid is me.

No worries. By no means would I claim being an expert on auction houses. Still seems like one of the Acuna grail cards would have more interest early on.

There are Luka auctions exploding right now for an RPA...but I wouldnt put it on a grail level like the Acuna Chrome Superfractor. Maybe it's the basketball factor.

Came to post this exact same thing. I hate Ozzie hitting 2nd. Dansby is better suited for that spot if they are going to put out a traditional lineup.

Agreed. Ozzie is to damn streaky and impatient. I was discouraged watching those first couple of at bats yesterday. He has a ton of talent but someone needs to reign him in a bit.

When he is on... he is on however. Should be an interesting season to see what he does as well in the long haul.

I don’t mind that aggressiveness most of the time batting down in the lineup but with Acuna on base a lot in front of him and Freddie hitting behind, the aggressiveness takes away scoring opportunities for him and Ronald

Yes sir. He is not patient enough to be hitting behind RA. I wish Snit would put Freddie hitting second. He did that for most of last year and it worked. I'm not sure why the change back to Ozzie 2nd. Freddie works the count in almost every at bat and he gets a ton of walks.

The change is based on the pitcher hitting again this year instead of a DH

Thank you Phoneboy, I agree- it certainly is all so unpredictable and it could really end anywhere at this point. But I stand by what I said before- if someone is going to get it at even a small discount, you seem like a stand up person and id be happy if you got it. We have dealt on some other cards before I believe (acuna 18 red ink psa 10/10) and just like you have been in this thread, you were pure class. Good luck to you as a bidder regardless!
